So to the scoring, and for those joining us for the first time, a reminder that at this stage of the competition, the lower the score, the higher the placing. Think of it like golf scoring. Anyhow...

Kicking us off, and not only topping the Group here, but earning the creds for the highest performing song across all 4 Groups is...

    CONGRATULATIONS!!!

    22 POINTS

    Next came...

    32 POINTS

    Followed by...

    45 POINTS

Which leaves The Scene and Genesis.

The final band progressing from Group A is...

    58 POINTS

Which means that we say goodbye to The Scene... But never fear, someone from that group will be returning in the next Round. So hope is not lost yet for who this is.

Sorry, really got my head all kabobbled there over something that was pretty blody obvious to fix. Uggh.

My head hurts... anyhow, if anyone is still awake, rolling these out the now... and guess those that have lost patience will have something to read in the morning.

    Group B

This Group was absolutely a battle. Really it was 2 battles. 2 bands duking it out for the win, and the other 3 slugging it out to stay alive.

Just 5 points separated the top 2, with 11 number 1 votes & 13 number 2 votes between them.

In the end it was a win for...

    CONGRATULATIONS!!!

    29 POINTS

    Not far behind them was...

    34 POINTS

But now we get down to the nitty gritty...

    The remaining 3 songs had scores of 53, 54 & 55!!! [IMG]

If ever there was cause to value every single point that you award, this should underline it.

So who lives to fight another day and who will be counting themselves very unfortunate here, for the sake of 1 point?

    Group C

This was another very tight Group, with just 8 points separating the Group wiinner from the band that was eliminated!!! [IMG]

    CONGRATULATIONS!!!

    40 POINTS

who finished top by a gap of 5 points to...

    45 POINTS

Which leaves 3, and once again only 3 points separating them, just like in Group B.

But here, 2 finished on 46 and the other on 48...

Considering in any other group 48 would be a safe score and good enough to earn them 3rd spot in those groups further highlights how much of a Group of Death this was.

    But who?

Yeah, am going to leave you hanging for this one as well. :bbpd:

    Group D

This one was also tight at the top, with 2 dominating 12 number 1 votes between them.

But in the end the 2 point margin was enough for...

    CONGRATULATIONS!!!

    33 POINTS

    Narrowly edging out...

    35 POINTS

    Followed by...

    46 POINTS

and the final band safely over the first hurdle is...

    52 POINTS

Which means that Neutral Milk Hotel bow out, but there is still life in this game for t least one member of that band. Will they have better luck?

    I guess time will tell.

    Let's find out.

    On 53 points was...

who are surely breathing a huge sigh of relief right about now.

Or at least 4 of them are. :smiley-laughing002:

    Awww... Too soon?

Just 1 point behind them, and 1 point clear of elimination was...

    54 POINTS

Which was 1 point more than Gomez earned, and in this group that one single point was the difference between life and death in this competition. Will there be redemption for at least 1 member of that band in the coming rounds?

    Only time will tell.

Please don't, as they are still alive in the comp and it could potentially reveal their identity for their secondary artist. Which am trying to avoid for a reason, lol.

During this stage of the competition once both their acts have been knocked out, then they will be revealed.

    So it was congratulations to

    &

    who had already progressed.

Which left 3, anf, as previously mentioned only 3 points separating them.

But here, 2 finished on 46...

    and those 2 were...

    Both..

    [IMG][IMG]

Congrats on surviving one * of a tight group!

Considering in any other group not only would 48 have been a safe score, it would have been good enough to earn Rage Against the Machine 3rd spot in all 3 of the other groups.

Which only further highlights how much of a Group of Death this was.

And how critical every point is.

Food for thought in the Rounds to come.

Perhaps, the first of many, a big shock as RATM are knocked out. But there is still life and a chance for at least 1 member of the band to vent their rage and get their vengeance on the BotB voters.

    Final Group C Standings
