Celtic AGM Friday November 20th 2015 at 10.30am

Some of the comments made from board members today are an absolutely disgrace. Bankier has completely undermined a section of our support who held a valid coherent viewpoint on a board member. This being that he (Livingston) voted for a motion that would deprive some of the most impoverished in our society of much need money. That runs contrary to our beliefs as a club & when some question it they are tarred (or at least lumped in with) as racists to the glee of the salivating media. Totally alienates fans. Shocking.

 

Can remember seeing something about that at the time

 

Guy on Twitter sent this to Celtic in response to Ian Bankier calling fans racist.

 

IMO Bankier should gtf along with Livingston. Celtic is losing its identity because of all these types.

Only catching up with this now. Im actually disgusted at Bankiers comments. He must be removed along with Livingstone.

The key phrase to that meeting was "not in the interests of shareholders". This is the drum that I have been banging for quite some time. The PLC model is flawed we are not a corporation we are Celtic Football Club. Now I hope more people can see the contempt in which these guys hold the ordinary supporter. Every person I ever met even the Lawwell lovers want the LW implemented. These guys see us as marks make no mistake about it. Not in the interest of shareholders? Which shareholders is that? Men like Gordon Gecko that's who.

 

Perfect time for banners at the game tomorrow telling the board to sack Bankier and Livingston

That rat Bankier has just made a statement back tracking. Too late * id put up with a decade of Deila before id let that * back in the door. He must resign. Every second more he spends at the club is an insult.

 

Bankiers comments have to be a red card. Backtracking or not he has given the scottish media ammunition to take a pop. He's our chairman too what an absolute balloon. His competency has to be called into question. This really is a scandal and a disgrace.

 

If he has made false accusations of racism they should be treated as severely as racism itself.

Fan ownership will happen, it will just take a bit of time and patience.

 

I can only paraphrase what was mentioned earlier in this thread. Bankier said abuse of Lord Livingston was disgraceful and some of it criminally racist.

I never liked his kind of people on our board. They generally have contempt for working people. Livingstone should have went as per the wishes of our fans in overwhelming majority. Bankiers comments are an insult to everyone of us to the point were I dont think I could be more * even if he said anything else equally as offensive. We need to wake up these men are only in it for themselves they dont care about the ordinary punters and they dont give a * about ordinary people.

 

The board should be vetted before being elected in future.
No tories on our board.
Actually can the GB put up a banner stating that fact.
After they have done the Foodbank collection tomorrow.
