    I was going to say this as well. We were outplayed for most of the game in Helsingborg. We were just fortunate that they had nobody to put the ball in the back of the net. In the end we could have won by 3 or 4, but how we hadn't conceded before half time was a miracle.

    Both the players and the manager must take the blame. Ronny isn't a great manager and the squad is full of average players. Sad to see the club the way it is.

    Quite lucky we still had 11 men on the pitch at half time too if I remember rightly. Matthews lost the ball on the half way line when he was the last man and fouled the guy on the edge of the box trying to win it back, but got away with it.

    Not sure who would take Moyes now except maybe a lower league English team. I doubt we will sack Ronny anyway.

    ^ 'oldcoless' spl, 'sevco' wont challenge much us more than hearts or the sheep unless someone has a surefire tax evasion scheme and an idiot willing to part with 50-100m£ :smiley-laughing002: Though seriously, that *is* why we can afford a manager with a long term plan and take those cl hits as all will be forgotten when have a system in place that gets us in more than not with young players.
    Another reason I support Ronny and I was gutted for him after both molde games is when the football works in the league it is brilliant to watch and oldco dead and us dominating for the long term future sexy football is the only way I can see bums on seats and capturing the young generations of supporters.
    Ronny seems to be very intelligent much like a Wenger, also like Wenger I could see him being very loyal unlike some others who'll * off to the epl at the first chance.

    It annoys me though. Up there with fans who can't get the players names right. It's always the folk who want rid of him that can never spell his feckin' name as well.

    Haha yeah I know eh. I don't think he's bad like. I want to buy into his idea of what he wants and you get experience by doing things so I believe he will get better it's just his refusal to change formation or change it slightly for different games.

    Yeah, bringing through younger players is and should be a massive part of our club but we haven't got a great balance yet (not many older experienced players etc)

    Why anyone would want Moyes is beyond me. He's failed in his previous two jobs. Sacked from them both to be accurate. He plays unattractive, uninspiring, failure football. You're only as good as your last game in football (or in a managers case his last appointment) and Moyes has had a stinker, twice!!

    His spell at Everton is long in the past now & they have moved on, moved on to a far more attractive brand of football with similar 'success' (i.e still no silverware) & I don't think many there would take him over Martinez. So again why would anyone want him at our club? Such an uninspiring thought.

    He hasn't been helped much in the transfer department, IMO.

    I think we obviously need to strengthen though(natural winger, experience CB and defensive minded midfielder in particular) and also let go of a few players.

    I'm worried about his refusal to switch from 4-2-3-1 though. We can get away with it domestically, but, in Europe we simply don't have the players to carry it off.

    We should be packing the midfield and defence and countering, much like Molde. I admire that he wants to take the game to sides but we are only going to get opened up far too easily. It's quite scary how sides have walked through the defence lately.

    100%. We play the same formation as many teams in Europe (Dortmund for example) but we just don't have the players for it. Working on fitness was a good step but we are being shown up as amateurs but more streetwise teams.
