We are a broken nation mate, Britain itself is broken but Scotland is broken as a result of being in Britain, we resent being run and ruled by England and that harms the people of this country in a psychological way, we feel unworthy, we are a pathetic people really :54:

While I completely agree with Ronny being unable to change things when need be and that he's unable to get this team to compete on the European stage, I can't believe that the players are anything but responsible for what they produce on the park.

I agree that, tactically, Ronny seems to be pretty one dimensional but surely as professional players the team should still be able to find some commitment, drive, passion, pride and, most of all, team spirit.....but they don't appear to care very much and apart from Tierney, they were all * today in my opinion.

Man for man they should hang their heads in shame for what they produced today.....an absolute disgrace....how can nearly every player hit a bad run of form all at the same time ?.....even Gordon has lost his effectiveness....which begs the question.....'What's really going on at Celtic'?

I understand that we all see the game differently and have our own opinions about who's * etc....but there's really no defence in our team......the midfield are headless chickens a lot of the time and we lack someone in there to play a killer pass regularly.
I know some will point to Commons for this role but, to my mind, he's been a shadow of his former self and only serves to frustrate me most of the time.

I have to also point the finger at most of the players who have been brought into the club.....they are simply not good enough for the most part and a waste of wages in my opinion.

While we already had some 'bomb scares' who regularly * up, to add Boyata and Blackett to the mix ...AND.. play Ambrose frequently just tells me how far we've fallen.

I can't blame Ronny for everything but I do believe he's trying to make players, with little or no ability, perform at a level they just aren't capable of.

Who's to blame for who we've brought in ? I'm just not sure if there is difficulty attracting players with the money we offer, have a budget for players that is unreasonable in today's market, have real problems in the scouting of talent or a combination of all of these and more.

I will confess to taking defeat badly but to compound a defeat with gutless performances all over the park has been the worst of all......where are we going wrong and where is the never say die attitude we once had as a second nature at Celtic Football Club?

Tonight it was a toss up between the element who clapped the team at the end and the ones that clapped Biton off after getting a red card who are the most disillusioned.

Why would anyone pay money to clap any of those things, we were rank rotten tonight, stunk the place out in fact and to have a mentality to clap that out of blind loyalty just makes me wonder what makes you tick, what happened out there tonight was shameful and the club need to get that message and not get let off lightly by sycophants clapping like seals.

Well said !!!!' - I never thought I'd witness a celtic team "Give Up" on a European night with 45 mins remaining. - gutless, spineless, cowards. - as Chris Sutton said An 18 year old Kieran Tierney showed them all up. And it would have been different had the other 10 showed the same commitment !!!! - I'm totally sick to the back teeth of this 1 step forward 3 steps back apparent progress. I wouldn't give Delia anymore money in January. If he can't win this league then he should be out the door pronto.

If there's one positive we can take from tonight's game it's that Johansen won't be playing in the next one. :50:

But isn't that the point, that the manager should motivate the players? How can all the players be performing well in one game yet underperforming at the same time in another game? I don't believe Ferguson would have blamed his players too often because that is a weakness, like a bad workman blaming his tools. Great managers get worshipped for a reason, they can make people do things they ordinarilly couldn't.

I don't know why Tierney played so well compared to the rest of the team, I can only guess it's because he's a pure Celtic fan who's been here since he was 8. I do agree with you to the extent playing football should be a passion in itself.

That's an excellent post, maybe when we take a step back, the budget and the quality he has it his disposal he is always looking at a very tough ask to get us in the CL or latter stages of the Europa League.

I saw nothing out there bar Tierney and the usual Commons flashes to suggest anyone really wanted that tonight, in the 2nd half I was expecting a cavalry charge to come and it never did, only really the one chance that fell to Griffiths and a few other bits and pieces, there was no high intensity go for it period and that had an effect on the crowd, too pedestrian and no one busting a gut, not even Commons flashes as he was off by then.

You are going nowhere in Europe with a defence like that, I'm not even going to criticise it as we all know the issues with it, Denayer out and Boyata in I was hoping was going to be a fairly like for like but we are much weaker now, when a young lad like Tierney looks the senior pro in your defence that says everything we need to know.

I think for Europe alone this side needs overhauling for next season but without proper investment things might not even get much better and that's whe it's hard to know if a new manager is the way, at the moment I simply don't want to take a risk with Deila in Europe again, the record, the tactics and the collapse of the clubs standing in Europe has been so drastic that giving him another shot at it next season seems unthinkable, so,etching needs to change as simply performances like that against mid table Norwegian sides in Europe are not what this club is used to.

I knew November was going to be a difficult month when I seen Boerrigter and Scepovic on the Celtic calendar.

The thing is, we ARE competing on the European stage. If Gordon doesn`t flap like an * for Ajax`s second goal we may well have held on for an excellent away win. If Efe Ambrose didn't have an Efe Ambrose against Fenerbahche then a win was a likely outcome there as well. We are in a tough group and its not like we are being gubbed. And tonight, I haven`t seen TV replays, were both of our disallowed goals definitely offside ?

I think its a bit harsh to say the team was gutless and had no desire tonight, the truth is they tried but ran out of steam in the last 10 minutes.

We definitely have some quality issues at this level, the Dundee Utd lads and the whole defence (bar maybe the Croatian and the left back) that have got to be addressed long before next season.

They said on the TV Celtic fans were applauding Molde fans for such a team performance? At the time I just accepted it because if I was at the game I would have felt the same. You can't use that as an arguement anyway, very few fans would have been clapping the team or a red card if they did do that. You've not read this thread if you think the majority of fans will be applauding the management after tonight's result. A good win against Ajax and Fenerbahce though and I'll dress up as a seal of approval.

The way young talent like Tierney is farmed out or got rid of altogether is concerning, take Henderson for example, never saw the wee guy do anything but show commitment and promise, what do we replace them with? A fair dash of loan players like Blackett and Boyata who judging by their performances and body language it's questionable whether they even want to be here let alone understand what the club is all about. The first half of last season the team was overloaded with such loan players.

I'd buy into Ronnies so called philosophy if the team and direction was going to be based around Henderson, Allan, Tierney etc rather than a few guys who can't get a game for their clubs in England

I wouldn't wait till the end of the season, get a manager in now and try and work with that team you've been left. Leaving Tierney aside who was brilliant. I feel sorry for the likes of Griftiths & Commons who are actually having to come down a level and play alongside half of these clowns who are an embarrassment to the jersey. - you can see their frustration of having to try and "carry the team" in most matches. Whilst the other weekly failure turn in half * performances I.e. Ambrose, Boyata, Forrest, izzaguire, Johanssen etc.

Can understand you not wanting to take the risk but let's not disrespect his acheivement in Norway. He took a team who hadn't won for ages and had no hope of winning to the top of the Norwegian league by developing youth players. He does have ability, it's just not working out here. As has been said before he would have been a perfect assistant manager for us which was his original job interview. No one really knows why Lenny left.

2 offsides, and a decent first half performance. we were unlucky.

2nd half, no excuses we weren't driving enough and making terrible passes, too many long balls going no where.

i hate Boyatas passing decisions. Needle legs Lustig needs to work on not falling over, armstrong needs to play like he did 6 months ago, commons is a has been that can hit a half decent ball but his first touch and taking players on is shocking.
