I don't agree mate, I don't think he links up with his full back at all, either defensively or offensively. He leaves the full back horribly exposed because he wanders inside and defends the inside of the pitch instead of helping his fullback double up.

He's had some bright moments, he hasn't had much end product though, his best play is all in the middle of the pitch. Not surprising considering he's a central midfielder or attacking midfielder, not a wide man.

I would only consider Armstrong if it was over Rogic, to make up a 3 in the central midfield.

Just on Armstrong he is the only one that can deliver a dead ball with his right foot, in amongst our plethora of left footers.

Commons abundant out-swinging corners v Aberdeen were woeful.

I've kind of got used to Armstrong cutting inside and Forrest providing more width. He does defo need to work on his defensive responsibility though but that is a flaw throughout the team.

I honestly couldn't disagree more for that as a critique of Armstrong's play this season. He is one of the few players who has actually managed to speed up the game in the final third with quick one-twos and as a result creates a lot of space and chances. He also mixes it up a lot between cutting into the box and going wide, leaving a lot of space for our LB getting forward.

He's good at the one twos but he doesn't do them in the thick of it, in the final thirs getting you in behind. He works well in the middle for me but I don't think I've seen him produce any bit of play where he get his full back in behind.

Defensively he does my head in as well, he has a lot of work effort to defend, he just isn't defending the right positions at all. Protect the full back.

I actually like Armstrong btw, lots of potential if we develop it right. Just don't think you can say he'd be more dangerous than Forrest or better at helpin out his full back.

I think he's done this more than any other Celtic player this season.

    I don't think we're going to agree on this mate :smiley-laughing002: :50:

Nice one, here's hoping your dad has two things to celebrate :50:

I like Armstrong too, I think he's one of our most intelligent players. Wouldn't mind seeing him in the centre of midfield.

Want to see a strong performance from the team, desire, speed, movement, shots..... Do that we will win well. Deila is looking for this, they can play like that, team needs to deliver.... Think they will (ideally we need a better scoreline from in Norway incase head to head comes into it...3-0)
