Agree with this to an extent it would be hard on Tierney, but Izzy has attributes too including experience. Not sure we would be weakened by playing Izzy..

I'm just glad there is an alternative and help for Izzy now.

Got a feeling he might just pop for Izzy when it comes to it.

A lot to prove in this game. Hoping 3-0, expecting 1-0, fearing anything less.

    Gordon
    Lustig Boyata Jozo Tierney
    Biton Rogic
    Forrest Commons Armstrong

Molde beat Viking FK 4-1 at home this evening. It was a comfortable win for them. The first half was fairly even, but after the break it was one way traffic.

They are 5th. Bit out of form lately, but they've had a decent season. Their manager, Jonevret, used to manage Molde.

Viking played Aberdeen at Pittodrie, in a meaningless friendly, in september. Aberdeen won 2-1.

Failing to see what Armstrong has done to deserve a start on Thursday ahead of Rogic? I mean, I know Armstrong provides more defensive cover, but I think Commons is better at that than people give him credit for. Play Commons on the right, Forrest on the left and Rogic through the middle. He deserves to start.. he's been excellent in our last two games.

The interesting thing is that apparently they played a new formation 3-5-2. Can see them trying that against us

I'm expecting us to concede so we will probably need to score 2 or 3 to win this game.

It's extremely obvious how Molde will set up so if Ronny has learned anything he will approach this game in the right way.

I don't think we need to come flying out the traps, we've done that on occasion in Europe at home and end up running out of steam in the last 20 minutes.

any win will do, but I think it will be 2 or 3-1 to us.

Ronny has to show he has learnt from the away game. Cannot leave us too exposed on the counter.

I think Tierney is more solid in defence than Izzyguire. And he dozen't get caught out on the blind side like Izzyguire is prone to do.And he crosses a more accurate ball than Izzyguire does. Experience is not everything.

I like Tierney but think Ronny may just pop for that experience.

Ronny has chosen Ambrose on several occasions because of "experience". I'd be surprised if he didn't select Izzy.

If Izzy can perform like he did against Ajax before getting sent off we have no worries

Although taking Tierney off early on Sat might be an indication on using him again.
