    Even my mum who doesn't watch football knows how much I like Stiliyan. I always called him Stili, and when she watched TV 2 years ago, she was changing TC channels and saw A. Villa played Birmingham, and she called me and said: "Look, here is your Stili!"

    Very sad news. Out of a mark of respect can we not have this thread in the main Celtic chat section. He may be with Villa but he will always be one of us and I think he should be in the main thread rather than the generic world football one.

    I hope Celtic fans will show our support on Sunday. Some banners would be nice to see.
    Our fans are great and I believe they will show support for Stiliyan. I am sure he would be happy to see our support.

    Absolutely * gutted. I was in a good mood driving home from the beach and hear this news on the radio and now i'm devastated. The survival rate for people of his age is only 30-40%! But he's and athlete, a fighter and I'm sure a lot of prayers will be said for him tonight!! ALL THE BEST STAN!

    Devastated for him! Really hope he gets the right treatment and gets through it!

    2 team mates, both diagnosed with terrible illnesses not long after leaving Celtic, Hartson and Petrov, Terrible. :shamrock:
