Is Ronny still the man for Celtic?

We're top of the league and 2 points off automatic qualification in Europe with 3 games to go two being home games. Calm the * down.

For the first time...I genuinely can't answer.

 

Realistically Ronny will not get is to the CL so given a new manager as much time as possible to prepare for the qualifiers next year is a good idea.

 

football is about hope, pride, enjoyment, looking forward with enthusiasm and positiveness, its also about entertainment, and this guy aint entertaining anyone, £570 season ticket bill to hang onto him just to let him fuddle along?.... no * way im afraid!... we need to re build now!... without ronny

 

I don't feel I can back him anymore. It's getting to the point I can't watch us in Europe as I feel we will * up again. Breaks my heart as I used to love playing in Europe but now I dread it

How are we supposed to rebuild "now" when we can't sign anyone for the next two months? Even then it's hard to get anybody decent in the January window. If there's any rebuilding to be done it'll have to be done next summer. As far as this season goes we're stuck with the * we've got(and we have plenty of it in this squad).

 

Better players? Well that's down to the manager that signs them. I believe Deila bought a £3m centre half when it's clear we need a striker. So the bollocks is back on you

The worse is not the results. Is that we are commiting the same mistakes as in the matches against Legia and Maribor. He simply won't improve. If anything things got worse. This is the right time to sack him, plenty of time before January to appoint a professional football coach this time. We have the entire rest of the season to get players like Tierney and Janko used to first team football, find another CB (Boyata isnt good enough for Celtic) and start a transition to a new team next year that won't embarass us in Europe. Nothing will happen though, Deila got this job because he is cheap and unambitious and that serves the board perfectly.

Bought into his ideas and philosophy and thought it would work for us,especially in Europe,but it has failed miserably and cant see him taking us any further so I voted no.

Deila is just awful. Not based on tonight. We've been going backwards under him. He wanted us to judge him after a year and I've seen no improvement.

The players look clueless and unmotivated.

Get rid now. Give the new man the rest of the Europa campaign to get his stamp on next year's qualifiers.

I cannot fathom why or how anyone can defend Deila. Get him out now. Never fit for the job in the first place.

Neil Lennon only had a full strength Rangers to contend with for one season. He failed to win the league that season. He did beat them the season they entered administration and had points deducted but it would have been a sackable offence had he failed to do so. So that's probably not the best argument.

Ronny Deila would have been outfoxed by Walter Smith though, no doubt about that. Tactical awareness isn't Ronny Deila's strongest suit, I think that much is pretty clear.
