    Nah, it was the wrong word to use. I'll forgive Ronny for that. It just made me laugh.

    He can get upto full speed, and hit a good run of form, might even find the game up here suits him better, but he won't be developing as a footballer.

    Carlton is a massive cult hero at West Ham.

    Sure, he can be frustrating making a couple sloppy passes or what not, but he can be unplayable on his day. A couple years ago he scored a belter against tottenham, only to basicly assist their striker seconds from kick off...

    He is a confidence player, and in the first season under Zola I couldn't believe my eyes. West Ham reportedly turning down 10mill+ bids for him the following summer.

    He's loyal, funny and a good character to have in the dressing room. Oh and to people slating his scoring records. Who has scored regurlary for West Ham these last years. That's right...no one! Fatty had us so isolated upront that it was like watching some hollywood sniper movie. He did well for Zola (who tried to play football) and did ok in the championship playing a massive part in the promotion and in the play off's. I think Ronny is the sort of manager that can re-ignite him. Sure he's not as fast as he was in his younger years, but he can certainly do a job when conditions are calling for it. No risk and a no brainer imo.

    Been incredible loyal to West Ham, and I felt slightly bad for him as he was basicly seconds from signing a (2 year deal iirc) for WBA last December, before WH pulled the plug. Instead he ended up without a club 6 months later.. and this was the guy that took a paycut to stay at a relegated WH.
