Solksjaer coming in is an interesting one, I normally back any side that has a new Manager coming in because they almost always get a reaction from the squad.

In Europe though they've been doing well so I'm not sure what type of reaction he'll get, plus the fact he's known to almost the entire squad anyway having only left a year ago.

Adds something to the game anyway.

Celtic assistant manager John Collins spoke to the press at Glasgow Airport this morning ahead of the @EuropaLeague trip to Molde.

JC: It would be great if we could get three points. That’s the objective. We’re going across to Norway to try and win the game.

JC: Molde’s start has surprised everybody. When the draw was made, most people didn’t expect Molde to be top of the group after two games.

JC: They’ve proved on this stage they’ve got their tactics right with a win in Turkey & a home draw against Ajax so we have to respect them

JC: Defensively they’re very sound, they’re compact and they hit you on the break. They’ve got good pace in the wide areas and up front.

JC: I’ve got a feeling this group will go right to the last game the way it’s shaping up, although it would be nice to qualify before then.

JC: First and foremost we’ve got to get three points tomorrow. We started our two previous games but we need to be better at keeping a lead

John Collins also confirmed that Jozo Simunovic is in the squad, although James Forrest could miss out along with Charlie Mulgrew.

Gutted Forrest is out, he's been our best player in Europe this season.

Really hope he keeps Boyata Blackett at the back, crazy to just throw Jozo in

Aye no Forrest is a big blow, I feel confident enough in Armstrong and Commons though they have the quality to do the business.

With Solskjaer only having a few days to prepare the team for the game could work in our advantage, he could well change their tactics which have been impressive in first 2 games. Quietly confident about this, think we will win 2-1. Forrest a doubt so don't think he'll start.

    Gordon
    Lustig Boyata Blackett Izzy
    Brown Bitton
    Johansen Commons Armstrong
    Griffiths

Hard to tell whether he will start Johansen or Rogic.

Not sure whether Solksjaer is going to be a big boost to them or not. I think mentally yes, but maybe not tactically so as CookieMonster above says.

It would be fantastic if we could win tomorrow and Ajax-Fener is a draw.

Sorry Sean I honestly thought Forrest was going to be fit for this game. Bit of a setback that.

Midfield without Forrest has to be Johansen/Commons/Armstrong.

I thought Molde were unbeaten in the league since July? Strange they would replace their manager after good results in Europe too.

Aye Ajax Fenerbahce draw is the result we want.

Molde hasn't done too well in the league. This + the loss against Zagreb was too much I think (He was quitting after the season anyway 'cause of family). The coach who led them against Standard Liege, Fener and Ajax is still part of the staff.

It would be embarassing and defleating if we came out of this game with less than three points, because I feel we're still at a higher standard than Molde. We played to a good standard against Ajax & Fenerbache and Mallmo. I feel that we threw away Champions League with a lack of discipline at the corner - Johansen getting booked - Berget's second goal.

4 points thrown away in the group so far, Efe was a disaster, and Izzy was sent off. The team have got to believe they can go out there and comfortably beat this provincial European team and give Scottish Football fans the joy we deserve!

Agreed losing Forrest especially for an away game with his pace on the counter attack is a big blow. In fairness to Simunovic he did get thrown straight into the starting lineup when we played Ajax in Amsterdam and did pretty well that night.

Deila couldn't possibly think about starting Effe , I know Ronny will go 4-2-3-1 but I'd change it ...

A draw would not be embarrassing or deflating. Molde absolutely horsed Fener on their own ground and got a credible draw against Ajax. They are a decent side, at least in Europe.

We have no divine right to win this game.

Disagree with all of that pretty much. It wouldn't be embarrassing to draw or even lose to Molde on their home patch. Give them some respect for the results they've achieved.

I don't think we're of a higher standard than them either. We're richer which means we pay more for a similar caliber. We lost fair and square to Malmo, and we were absolutely dismal in the second leg. It was more than just bad defending at a corner.

I agree with the last sentence, about the players believing, but not with the condescending way you worded it.

Molde are a dangerous team and they deserve respect.

It doesn't matter what or who Molde are , If the backroom staff have done their Homework then Ronny should know what it takes to beat them ..... First Priority is not to lose , we need to keep the ball to Control the game in recent European Away games we've failed to do this , the midfield is the key ..... with only 2 in there we have struggled to control the game , which puts our Defence under pressure , If our FullBacks get pushed back we'll be defending on our Penalty spot again . The Fullbacks need to push up to support Broony and Biton , to do this the 3 behind the striker have to keep the ball and pass it well , the problem I see is the 1 striker up front , whoever he is he isn't clinical enough , we need to be ruthless up front.
