I don't envy you Taz trying to decipher some of those PM's. :smiley-laughing002:

How hard can it be to just rate songs from top to bottom.

Some of them seemed to have their favourite in the middle of their picks and the rest all arranged around them.

Among others... Wild Wild Life, Girlfriend is Better, Naive Melody... So many great tunes that could easily have been used as well, but, hey, you won, so can't flaw the picks that got you there, haha! :smiley-laughing002:

Could go on and on really.

I'm sure everybody could say the same about their pick.

Oh, for sure. Think that is part of the trick with this comp; deciding what to use and when is pretty critical.

    And obviously thanks again Taz.

Lets gets BotBV rolling, I din't like to think what's being done to the trophy in Daleers hands.

Aye picked them after the first Molde game. :smiley-laughing002: There was so much choice, almost went with Annie Lennox, Faithless, Kate Bush or the Bangles at one point. Even considered Massive Attack but would have been bending he rules somewhat.

    Happy with my choice tho.

I too really liked Waxhatachee, will defo look them up again.

Enjoyed this comp the best so far. :50:

I fully expected that was the song I was going to be up against in the semi-final. It got my hopes up when it wasn't.

In hindsight, that makes sense. You must have been suicidal that night. :smiley-laughing002:

Melancholy songs work for me, I've always gravitated more towards them. I also love it when bands play with a string section or an orchestra behind them, it adds an extra dimension to the music. The songs you picked from that concert ticked both those boxes. :50:

I'm a fan of the band so obviously i have my own favourites - such is music. I was almost * off at some of the White Stripes songs that didn't get an airing haha.

Passed out last night before the big reveal. Was certain that the 5-0 was going to be for Adele!

    Onwards with BOTBV

I had Black Math lined up after Jolene, and many other options on offer, but being contrary by nature, after Taz had a wee pop at me for using a cover, i thought * it, im doing it again.
Then after that, a public pop and Slaw making mention of me not using Seven Nation Army, being the rebel without a cause, i thought again...* it, and put another cover version out!:smiley-laughing002:

That was intended as my last one though.Had Black Math, Fell in love with a girl and Icky Thump as potential 3 for final.

Was hoping for an airing of Pretty Good Looking...For a Girl.

Fell in Love With a Girl would have had you in the final I think.

That arrogance cost you the title MGM.

Was the bass player in Talking Heads in the Tom Tom Club? Was listing to them yesterday as it happens, do they have anything other than their 2 big hits?
