Havnt been impressed by him so far, looks unfit and slow. Hopefully he will not end up being another dud ST

Domestically I think he will do quite well.

Don't think it's right that a lot have written him off before he's kicked a ball for us domestically.

Once he gets a run of 4 or 5 games in the league I think we will have a better idea of what sort of player he will be for us.

I think he'll do okay but he's not going to be a prolific striker.

He will have to do well if he wants that starting ST role in front of Griff

Let me get my crystal ball out.

I expect him to score at some stage if that's what you mean, but yeah I've great faith in him that he has a lot of the right attributes to be a quality striker for us.

Depends what you mean. Will he finish top goal scorer in the league? No, not in my opinion.

Will he prove to be mediocre and score about 15-20? Probably.

Will he turn into our starting ST, be a squad player or a dud in your opinion?

I think scoring 15-20 is a wee bit above mediocre.

I think if he sharpens up a bit he could displace Griff, simply because he's far better suited to the formation

Yes but maybe not as a goalscorer. More as Fortune' - who I thought was a good player.

Also, as Ronny signed him, he'll stick by him longer. Otherwise, he'd have stuck with Stokes and not bought Ciftci (if going for the type of player I was describing).

He seems like a player that wants to impress and command a starting position, but I think he'll struggle. Griffiths suits our style more, like him or not.

Even if he doesn't play much, you'd want a fair amount of goals from him.

After the start he has had its not certain. He will score goals that's for sure, but not sure if he will be a starter next season.

I hope he does a good job but I wasn't too impressed with him at Dundee Utd and was very surprised when we signed him.

Feels like we've had him forever, yet he's never played a league game...

I'd like to see Ronny starting him every game for 4 or 5 matches.... Maybe swapping for Griffiths second half if not working... But needs that proper run of starts to get up to speed.. Especially if he is going to have much or any role in Europa campaign.

We've slated off and got rid of a load of players like Skepovic, Berget...

But did we give them a decent run at it first? Not so sure we did!
Shifty will need a good run.

Ronny seems to put a lot of weight into training ground performances, maybe why Skepovic sat on the bench....

Following that logic... Efe Ambrose must be outstanding on training days.

He is a pudding. I would rather we kept Scep and loaned him out.

Voted no although I hope I'm proven wrong. I just haven't seen anything from him to suggest he'll do well here. I include his time at DU in that as well.

It also depends on how you would rate him as a success as well.

Domestically he will probably do a job, although it remains to be seen. If he scores 15 or more goals this season I'd call that a good first season for him. Anything above 20 would be brilliant.

Think he will but he needs to get a run of games to get going. I'd try and play him and Griffiths together for the next few games, doubt it will happen though. Once he gets his fitness sorted and confidence up I think he'll be a good addition to the team, certainly a better fit than Scepovic.

I really want this to work. * knows why he's been getting slated already.

i like his style compared to griffiths, he will hold the ball up well and bring others into the game and try to get into the center of the penalty box after laying it off, hopefully he can finish with ease.

the one striker role we play nowadays has been such a pain in the * for our strikers to hit the ground running

2 strikers next to each other and we would score loads in scotland but it just doesnt work in europe it leaves us too exposed
