Lennon was lucky that night. He took a gamble and it payed off but he wouldn't have played him if others had been fit

In some ways you wish it was someone like Miku who scored that goal rather than Watt. Maybe it wouldn't have got to his head and he'd have been banging them in for us over the last few seasons. Although thinking about it, it might not have made much of a difference.

Didnt he think if we get 2 goals we might get a draw out of this. Turned out it was a win. Needed his pace to get us out of our half and it worked.

Wouldn't call that lucky or a gamble to be honest.

It was written in the stars for a teenage lad from Coatbridge (of all places) to score the winning goal against the best team in the world, in front of 60,000 rabid supporters in their own stadium.

Lustig was faltering, he never lasted the 90 minutes in those days. Commons pretty much went to right back and put in a shift and a half, Watt came on because we were short on options and he had been playing well. Brought some much needed energy, didn't give opponents a 2nd, scored that goal and nearly had a second, Mascherano should have been sent off for bringing him down.

Was a great decision, worked * brilliantly.

I'm sure it was only his second game, was it not right after the Motherwell debut when he scored 2?

Doubt it. I mean, who'd say that to Neil Lennon and live?

Because Lennon could react to what was happening on the pitch in real time. This sounds simple but it most certainty is not.
