They called us Pigs...Ronny called us Lions...sadly we were pussycats. Only Gordon can walk away holding his head up, Forrest had a few good runs but created nothing. Defensively we were very poor, midfield we lost the ball away too easily with too many misplaced passes. Upfront we created next to nothing. The biggest thing was next to no pace when going forward.Malmo deserved to go through, better players all round, more hunger and desire to win and a belief they could win, all on a budget smaller than ours. John Collins is right, our domestic league does not prepare us for this level. The players we have can stroll through a league game but when asked to step up they cannot. We cannot compete at Champions League level, Europa League is probably the right level for us, but no doubt we will * up the group stages in that !!

If only, but they have to do something and fast, sadly I doubt they will

That was extremely idiotic. At that time he could've ruined all chances. If he got sent off for that. Now that it ended like it did, it didn't matter, but that was really stupid of him.

Something is up. Maccabi Tel Aviv just put out Basel. Both them and Malmo have nowhere near the transfer and wage budget we do. We need to be spending our money better, yet we end up with avergae players in almost every position. That Malmo defense were wretched and we never even looked like scoring from open play tonight.

Depressed going to be a long week! Is there any financial windfall dropping into Europa League?

I thought one mistake was taking Armstrong off tbh, he looked sharp, secondly, I don't think commons can cut the pace anymore in the CL. We need a second formation for times like this, the 4-3-2-1 doesnt allow for us to move the ball quick enough to the forwards.

I can only think it was thumped in to the players minds how important the game was and the players froze on the night. Coping with that pressure is all part and parcel of the game and the team as a whole couldn't do it.

If we drew Skenderbeu we would be in the groups. And wed be pumped silly because the squad would not have been improved. Unfortunately these losses never seem to act as a wakeup call to our idiotic board.

An overhaul in player recruitment is needed.

Why spend it now mate the damage is done, and we could only dream of spending that sort of money, and for the europa league lawwell won't be willing to spend the cash we get for VVD when he gets sold let alone dip into the cash we have.

The hole team were terrible tonight we do need a better class of player which the board won't pay for yet we are going to sale our centre half for £10 million and could be getting £2 million from the transfare market from Southampton

    Not sure.
Today they had stronger midfield and attack, and imo midfield is where we lost today (we lost of set pieces defensivly, but we failed to create enough chances due to Malmø being stronger in midfield on the day).

I really don't know who we could buy with all the money everyones suggesting we spend. Finboggosan who everyone was proclaiming the messiah, he has gone on to some real great things- who really wants to sign for celtic and play ross county st johnstone etc on a freezing Scottish winter day/night. Maybe spend 4-5million on a player yes I would agree but at the end of the day we spent far more on our team than malmo did on theirs- so who is to blame?

end of the day we are buying players from dundee united and hibs and then at the same time we are expecting us to get into the champions league, it's just not gonna happen.

When an opposition team call you pigs & liars etc, you'd expect your own team to come out and win anf * crunch EVERY tackle. But not us shitebags and that's a worry for all us. different year SAME tired old excuses from the board to the management and players. They should ALL apologise to the fans tonight.

Recruitment, management, players, board. Lennons tactics werent always the best but he could fire up his squad. The team played just as bad in the second half. No change what so ever.
