Everybody's been a reject at somepoint, that was pretty much my point. Doesn't mean a players a poor player if they've been punted out elsewhere and a club doesn't fancy them.

Shay Given was a Celtic reject, as was Andy Robertson. They aren't beneath us as a club.

Basically, judge the player, not a former team he was at if you get me? There's been a lot of good players rejected at clubs throughout the years, doesn't mean we shouldn't go for them.

    :50: Get you now.

I do agree with the OP though that Berget was woeful in his time at Parkhead. Made me question Deila's judgement that he could see any redeeming attributes in him, although maybe he just had a bad spell and has improved now he's elsewhere.

Aye, Berget was gash with us. It was more picking up on the Cardiff reject thing, I'm sure there's been plenty of players that's not been judged a success there we would quite like.

Guy Medel was judged as dissapointing for them and I'd take him in a second.

”Saidy did himself a lot of good on Saturday, he played well. He showed he is capable of doing well in that position.

“We will see tomorrow what we do. Efe has played many fantastic games for Celtic. I know his strengths and his weaknesses. But he is an experienced player.”

That leads me to believe he's leaning towards Efe :31:

Some people need to seriously calm down with the Ambrose witch hunt. :56:

You would think we lost every game he's ever played for Celtic.

    * it! Saying that, I'm quietly confident we'll make it through. We are a better team than Malmo so as long as the players are switched on, not only will we go through, we'll win this game.

He was named in the Champions League Team of the Week after Barca away.

He has it in his locker.

If that's in reference to my comment, it's not a witch-hunt to point out our chances are diminished playing a guy who has regularly made mistakes which have cost us goals. It's a logical conclusion.

It's in reference to every comment singling him out, not specifically yours.

Prior to giving away a penalty at the weekend I struggle to think of any time he has cost us a goal directly in recent memory.

I'm not saying he hasn't, I'm suggesting his mistakes are highlighted to the point people forget that he is a good defender when he concentrates.

When it is a straight toss up between a teenager that has barely played a first team game and an experienced International defender it's fairly evident which way Deila is going to go.

I usually try hold off till 4 :icon_mrgreen:

I feel alot more calm today than I did last Wednesday strangely enough. Although come Kick-off, i'm going to be a nervous wreck.

I fancy us to win it 2-1 :celt_2:

He's always out of position. Constantly gives the ball away. * around with it and then loses it. Hes just a poor defender.

You say hes good when he concentrates, but he rarely does.

I agree he can be a good defender when he concentrates however he evidently can't for a full 90 minutes. Some of his play might not immediately come to mind as it has thankfuilly not led to a goal eg. his pass directly to a Malmo player in the centre of the park last wednesday when under no pressure whatsoever.

Also, the guy can't cross, which is a massive negative considering the system we use with over-lapping full-backs. If Deila sees Ambrose as a better RB than Janko at this point, then I find it incredible that he signed him, knowing Matthews would be off and Lustig's injury problems.
