UEFA Champions League 2015/16

Pep ends his Bayern career as some sort of rich man's Ronny Deila, winning the bare minimum, not reaching the levels of his predecessor, falling way short of his main goal for which he was brought to Munich.

 

Atletico are due winning it I think, looking at their past 2 finals they were 1 minute away from winning both and then went on to lose them.

First one they were beating Bayern 1-0 when Bayern equalised in the 120th minute and then they lost a replay. Last one they were beating Real 1-0 and Real equalised in the 93rd minute and went on to lose in extra time.

Now they have beat Bayern in the semi and will probably play Real in the final.

 

I understand what people are saying about Atletico but in all honesty, if that was us after getting through to the CL final like that I wouldn't give a *, in fact I'd be proud.

MON was on TV3 tonight and brought up the keeper for Porto wasting time against us and how he criticised him at the time, but he more or less said he would probably do similar in that type of situation.

 

That's dangerously in Mourinho territory. That's the problem i'm starting to have with Simeone.

The thing is, Real Madrid play some beautiful football, whereas atletico madrid come across as a destructive and boring team.

 

No really mate. I didn't see Ranieri trying to fight every * and waving for imaginary card's every time one of his 11 chose to fall. They were a disgrace tonight, sorry, they really were..

I've admired what they've done but tonight was disgusting to watch..

Real Madrid all the way for me now. That's who I'll be rooting for, without a shadow of a doubt. Every throw in they were sprinting to throw or kick it 20 yard's down the touchline. The referee let it go all night..

I meant they defend well and hit on the counter attack, nothing about management styles just players basically being a solid unit and playing to their strengths

 

Wee teams will always be forced into doing it against better teams tbh, we see it at Celtic Park several times a season if a wee team take the lead they time waste every time they can from then on, the longer it goes on the more they go down with "injuries" to waste even more.

 

Speaking of Barca. Every time I've seen a Barca-Real game of late both teams do what Atletico do. They time waste, they dive yet Barca particularly never get the same stick.

Atletico might not be very pleasing on the eye but many of us can appreciate how good they are at what they do. Which, by the way, isn't cheating for 90 minutes. They are an incredibly solid unit, lethal on the counter.

 

Leicester quite regularly dive and cheat.

 

If people ever criticised us about how we reached a Champions League final, I'd tell them to dry their eyes.

 

Hopefully Real do them with a late sucker punch..

 

Most of the Champions League is classless so to speak, and Real are just as * bad i actually wouldn't mind Man City making it

 

Spot on, people might not like it but * me they get the job done

 

As i said i wasn't talking about management, and Leicester have been poor in more than a few games this season grinding out the odd goal results
