Denayer was outstanding last night for Galatasary bringing the ball out from the back, last ditch tackles, strong against a tough striker like Jackson Martinez kid has a bright future no doubt about it

Did anyone think the tackle on Luke Shaw was a penalty last night? I actually thought it was a good challenge, and it was just unfortunate for Shaw that his leg was planted. If his back leg is off the ground, then I think the tackle would have been praised by the pundits at half time, but because of the outcome, they were saying it should have been a penalty and red card. I think the challenge is getting blown out of proportion due to the injury. However, I think it was more bad luck than a bad tackle.

Should've been a penalty and a red card. It was totally reckless, IMO, and all the more irritating because he scored the equaliser in the game, as well.

Until City change the way they play in Europe, they won't get any further than they have. Yaya Toure for example got found out again last night, playing in a midfield two against top quality he struggles imo. I'm not saying he's not good, but he struggles as two man midfield and leaves Fernando exposed alot. Something the manager should know, as mostly everyone else can see it

Just saw Ramos dive, * * man. That is just as bad/worse than what Neymar or Robben have produced :smiley-laughing002:

I thought he won the ball initially, then caught him with his trailing leg. As I said, had Shaw's foot not been planted, then he doesn't end up with a bad injury, and the tackle wouldn't have gotten any attention I don't think.

Definitely, then the only dilemma is who to leave out of De Bruyne and Sterling as Silva is a must.

Bayern Munich supporters were violently attacked by police at the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium in Piraeus, Greece ahead of the club's Champions League match with Olympiacos. Many supporters have already left the stadium, and it is believed that most, if not all, will follow before the match finally kicks off.

Clubs running into trouble with police in southern Europe is a regular occurrence, but by all accounts from supporters and media inside the stadium, this attack by the police was wholly unprovoked.
