Is that the team from Russia ? I remember something on trans world sport about them being the longest distance to travel to an away game you crossed through about 100 different time zones :smiley-laughing002:

The distance between Lisbon and Vladivostok on a plane is about 14 and a half hours. 11hr and 45m from Glasgow.
    Not even close to Europe.

Yeah. They play over a thousands miles east of Beijing but are still in the Russian leagues :smiley-laughing002:

But I remember reading about a team called Sakhalin Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk who play on the island of Sakhalin, which is east of Tokyo, but they were also in the Russian second division last year. That is some serious travelling :smiley-laughing002:

When you see that you wonder if we'd just be better off applying to join MLS! :smiley-laughing002:

According to this and this it will be the longest trip ever made in european football. 6.164km.

In all UEFA organizations the longest trip record belongs to Kairat Almaty (futsal team) who travelled to Lisbon, 6.911km, where they won the 2014/15 UEFA Futsal Cup. Their football team currently holds the football record as well, 5.947km to Bordeaux.

Celtic holds a record as well. Longest trip to play an International Cup. "The farthest any side had to transport was 11,304km, when Celtic flew south to take on Argentina’s Racing Avellaneda in a 1967 competition."

But you have to feel for Astana. Everyone else only has to go there once, while they'll clock up over 23,000 miles on their travels. If they ever qualify again they'll be able to travel to their away games for free with all the air miles they'll get this year.

Plus their game on the weekend could be bad too. In the championship round of the Kazakh league they have to travel to away games in Atyrau (1200 miles) and Orbabasy which is a 17 hour drive away. And this is Shakhter Karagandy's team bus for some perspective on how they'd make that journey :smiley-laughing002:

Juve-City should be the pick of tonight's games, but I'll probably wind up watching the United-PSV game hoping (blindly) for a strong United performance.
