We got * all, but still have the best manager and team in the league! Il take that :icon_mrgreen:

Sacking Stephen Kenny was the best thing Rovers ever done!

Since he has been sacked 3 years, his record for the seasons are
    2nd
    1st, Won the League Cup
    1st, Won the FAI Cup

Enjoy the hooofball under Fenlon again this season :smiley-laughing002:

Sacking Kenny was 100% the right thing for Rovers to do at the time. You see managers all over the world who can't do it with bigger clubs so nothing new there.

Meanwhile Dundalk currently don't meet the Premier Division licence requirements as they have not come to agreement with Matthews on Oriel :celtman2:

I remember the article alright, not sure where it came from though. His stock was far higher a few years back though so don't think there was anything really in it.

In the press today that Dundalk may not be able to play at Oriel Park next season. They are still in a financial despute with their previous owner who owns the lease on the ground.

I hope they're not allowed to play in Oriel. Absolute kip of a ground

    Nothing wrong with it.

    Good old fashioned shithole.

    Talk of them moving grounds.

For me one of the biggest priorities for the FAI and the LOI should be trying to redevelop the leagues grounds as lets face it most of them are dumps. The fact that Dalymount Park the spiritual home if you will of Irish football is a dump as well is an indictment of the way football has been mismanged facilities wise in Ireland for so long.

Nothing wrong with it me eye. Go into the away "end" and see what facilities you have there. Sub standard ground in a sub standard town

Did he not pump money into yourselves when no one else would to keep you going? He can't be all bad. The land ownership/ lease situation is a legal nightmare but you'd wonder how it got this far down the road to be honest. Theres going to have be some sort of middle ground found on all sides, telling him to go "* himself" won't get you too far

The FAI can't do much about most privately owned grounds in fairness. Lets look at it this way, in next years premier we have Tallaght, Turners X, Eamonn Deacy Park and the Showgrounds up to standard. We could be looking at Dalymount, the Brandywell and Harps new stadium all completed by 2017. Flancare and Inchicore need an uplift but are sufficient for the moment. That leaves the Carlisle, Oriel and Ferrycarrig all in immediate improvement admittedly. But to say things aren't heading in the right direction is very unfair

We will be playing in Oriel this season, 100%! This row with the former owner has been going on years.

As for calling Dundalk a sub standard town, your from Dublin! The biggest shithole in Ireland!

    It's a town indeed.

A "town" whose football team are miles ahead of anything in Dublin.
