Glad he is comparing us to a team we played 1 year ago. Things have changed vastly. Our 2 games he scouted recently wouldn't have shown him much either.

Surely malmo fans know they played a much weaker team than us and we weren't great either when we played them.

 

Starting to get real nervous for this one but I'm a lot more confident than I was when the draw was first made.

Thats what I've been thinking of the last few days that's gave me belief.

When we were first drew together I kinda * myself because I was told they had pumped Salzburg 3-0. but as you say, we were a lot worse off then than we are now, plus they lost a few good players. And to the fact Malmo has one of their best players missing for the game, so I'm much more confident of beating them now.

 

Maybe it's just me but their "confidence" has went well over the line into arrogance. I'd love to take them down a peg or two.

Their fans in general seem much nicer, to their credit.

I'm the same, unless we're like 3-0 up I won't be able to enjoy it at all! My dads got my driving us in for this one too, so I can't even have a drink to calm the nerves

 

I've not seen too much in way of quotes coming out their camp. What have they been saying? Wouldn't have expected anything "arrogant", especially based on their fans on here.

Not that I'm really trying to talk away a 3 nil win over Salzburg but, in addition to us being better this year and 3 of their best players not playing against Malmo, apparently it was just one of those games where Salzburg where all over them creating chance after chance but couldn't put the ball in the pokey, whereas Malmo were clinical.

Still a 3 nil mind.
