You always say that but you never have any proper answers when people question you on things like moving our captain and driving force to a less central position where he can exert less influence, that's why your ideas usually come across (to me at least) as in fact not at all well thought through. If they really were well thought out, you'd have some decent responses to objections like that

The weakness in your argument is that you are the kind of poster who is afraid to advocate change for fear of being scorned or derided, and so stereotyped thinking like that keeps us in a rut, and probably excluded from the Champions League for another year, because of fear of change and inventiveness.

I bet you were one of the same posters who was frightened to drop Ambrose against Juventus too, correct me if I am wrong ?

I agree with your point there mate, but your previous idea of having players in wacky positions is maybe a bit too much of a 'radical' approach. I think a change of formation with two up top (3-5-2) is more creative without tripping over that fine line between genius and cobblers. :50:

Start with the team that went 4-0 up vs Inverness.

Don't take Brown and Lustig off.

    Sorted.

If you read the thread back properly you will see I suggested Brown wide right and Griffiths wide left with Armstrong and Biton as the holding DM's.
Brown is very capable of exerting strong influence on the right, and with Janko overlapping I think that would work.We wouldn't lose influence with Armstrong and Biton as DM's in my opinion. I am always willing and able to talk back my suggestions to any poster if required to do so, provided its not a wind up or * take.Let's wait and se if Ronny takes any of my suggestions onboard on Wednesday. Radical yes, wacky no.

    B4nter.

Let's move our captain and driving force of the team out wide. Then we can move our best attacking player from the weekend back into a deeper position. Oh and let's throw in our second choice right back for our biggest game of the season so far and move our best full back into central defence.

    What a load of *.

What makes you think that Brown can exert as much influence from the flanks? People always talk about a strong spine for a reason. Armstrong has looked good in flashes but Brown is our most important player and the beating heart of our side, moving him to a peripheral position would surely be a mistake. Also you change so much in your suggestion that we would lose all continuity.

    Just to pick two objections.
