I'd prefer if the curve ball wasn't in the most functional part of the team with the least problems.
If Ronny is going to change It up the attacking 4 is where it should be done.

Where did I suggest this ? I said Ronny could maybe play Brown wide right on Wednesday.
Keep up to speed Buster :smiley-laughing002:

Even suggesting that , we want to keep Brown shielding the defence

Armstrong and Biton are more than capable of shielding the defence.
Brown wide right, with Janko on the overlap.
    It's a no brainer :50:

Armstrong is best utilized in attacking, making runs into the box. He is not strong enough physically and in his tackling to play that role of DM

You need to settle the * down, Venglos.

Truth is, with the players we have we should go with the same team that started against Inverness. Up until we took Brown off we looked comfortable.

If and when we qualify for the group stages we can start looking at new players to bring in.

    Ronnie oot!

    :fear:

Also, there's no way Broony is better at RM than CM, venglos, mate. Though the 'curve ball' could be playing a 3-5-2 with the players in pretty much their usual positions. I really think that could work and their manager wouldn't see it coming, he probably knows how Ronnies went about things before Celtic, always with the same formation etc. if Ronnie did this I would be quite excited, having Shifty working with Griff surely would result in goals.

Exactly, we should be fine against this mob. I would imagine were constantly looking at players and working on deals, we could have a quality new player by tomorrow morning for all we know. That guy from Zagreb, who looks good, or Mechele etc. Which would be awesome, lol.

Tickets are selling well for this, good chunk of the sections sold out already. Should be a full house :50:

Some posters take a cruise missile approach to posting: they don't post very often but almost every post is bang on target. You take more of a machine gun approach IMO: fire enough wacky ideas out there and every now and then one of them is bound to hit the target.

    Am I wrong?

It's a no brainer to change our central defensive and central midfield partnerships, throw an untested 19 year old in at RB, play our usual RB at CB and move our driving force and captain out of position.

    Absolute no brainer.

All for the biggest, most important game of the season with nearly €20 million riding on it! :56::56:

30 million pound game. That's why it's so important that we make these radical changes. We have seen so far that Ronny's team selections have not been providing what is needed to beat this Malmo team.

I am confident about this game, I think if we play the way we did against Inverness, they won't be able to handle it. Malmo are quite poor away from what I've heard.

I do agree with some that long term, Griffiths isn't good enough to be our top striker, but I think we have enough to get past Malmo and into the group stages and then I think there's a good chance we'll see a new striker brought in as well as a replacement for Van Dijk. (Hope he stays, but can't see it).

I like to think I am a free thinker poster, who is willing to suggest innovative ideas that could potentially be capitalized on if implemented by the management, call them curve balls or calculated risks. I don't believe in going with the flow, I like to push the boundaries of the thought process.
I woudn't call them wacky per se, I would call them creative, because they are well thought out suggestions not knee * suggestions.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not as confident as you that we have what it takes to beat Malmo, I'm only agreeing that Venglos's idea is absolute madness.
