That could work as I say I wouldn't be against seeing both play on Wednesday.

Well maybe there's a reason for that? He was useless against a bang average Inter team.

Look, he's a good SPFL striker. But as I said, his all round game just isn't very good at all. The fact we only play with one striker only highlights that side of his game. His first touch is * poor and he never looks fully in control of the ball when he's dribbling.

I'd like to see us try 2 up more often, we should be trying it out in training and lesser risk league games. I think this side would play pretty well in a 3-5-2. As for Wednesday, maybe a bit risky? If they are comfortable playing in that formation, I'd go for it. Plus their manager wouldn't be expecting Ronnie to throw that kind of curve ball would he?
Actually think that's a brilliant idea now, we should play 3-5-2! :50: or at least do it for 45 mins?

Ronny could drop GMS because he hasn't been upto much lately tbh and play griffiths wide right.
Ronny is probably going going to start ciftci going by the last 4 games in europe so at least it would give griffiths a chance to do some damage instead of sitting on the bench for the first 65 minutes.

Its's nowhere near good enough for the CL. Markus Rosenberg for Malmo seems a better striker than what we have.

We all know the reasons why he was out of favour until January last season. Guidetti was useless for all but two months of last season and also poor vs Inter away.

And yet there doesn't seem to be the same urgency among our support to improve our squad as there was as recently as last summer.

Alternatively Ronny could drop GMS and play Brown wide right, backed up by Janko behind him, with Griffiths wide left.Ciftci upfront. It could work.

Na I think it would work ok

I wouldn't be surprised to see curve ball from Ronny maybe

Did you see that inter game , Griffiths was far from useless that night. Was involved in both Armstrong goals and was a constant problem for the inter defence.

Agreed. To be honest standards have been dropping for years.

I wouldn't say most people are "happy" with it - at least I hope not! It's just the situation we find ourselves in.

Or, Ronny could drop Ciftci since the big * isn't anywhere near match fit, hasn't played a league game for us because he's a stupid * and actually go with the guy who's scoring the goals?

Can't argue with that you shod go with your inform players , Ciftci hasn't proven anything yet

That's kind of the point though, are we in as bad a shape as we were then?
I'd love a proven Euro goal machine, who wouldn't, standards haven't slipped per se, just not a lot to do but hope and be positive about what we have, Griff is a natural goalscorer, he just needs to believe he can start banging them in in Europe and with Shifty, surely, going to break his duck soon (again hopefully) and the fact that most of our goals come from the rest of the pitch usually anyway, it's not that bad.

Aye obviously off the field issues etc but his performances in Europe have been * poor. I'm not just talking about his lack of goals, but his overall performances.

I don't think he's a very smart player either. He did it yesterday and he's done it a few times before, the ball comes into him from wide and he dummies it expecting a player to come in and shoot...but nobody is there. His decision making isn't great.

As has been said, if you feel confident of going into the CL/EL with Leigh Griffiths as our main striker than our standards have dropped massively.

Hooper was by no means perfect but he was a far better player than Griffiths.

Nah cant see Ronny ever breaking the midfield 2 in a game like this.

Ronny like everyone else, is quite capable of throwing a curve ball.

Yeah that's the logical option but it's Ronny were talking about here. That argument should have been enough to not see him start home or away against Qarabag but he still went with him ahead of the form striker.

In our most important game of the season, you want us not to start Brown :56:
