I'd love to go over for this away leg. But there's no chance I could get it off work with me taking 2 weeks holiday up until 3 days before the 2nd Leg.

I'll have to settle for the pub.

My point exactly, Calanor! I think many of the people saying he is atrocious has barely seen him play a game, and that is just ridiculous.

Michey - Who is wishing the Celtic family (one of the best families there is in this world) the best of luck for the qualifiers and the season! COYBIG:shamrock:

Berget has played with us and under Ronny in Norway, pretty sure they will be well aware of his tactics.

We should do long balls for the first ten minutes just for the craic. :87:

Their Norwegian coach knows for sure Deila's philosophy of playing. Both were coach in Norway playing against eachother many times.

If he was decent, why did Ronny release him 6 months before his loan deal finished?

    Haha, that's Lustig.

I remember being at the Maribor game at home (dear christ) and Berget's performance was by far the worst performance by a professional footballer that I've ever witnessed in the flesh.

He was absolutely awful that day, I think that's how we all remember him and why we all think he's utter, utter *. TBF, though, he was played out of position, in the Sammy role, didn't really know his teammates well and perhaps wasn't fully fit.

I remember him playing really well in one league game too. Was it that Dundee Utd one where everything clicked for the first time?

Dundee United game he played centrally and it was no surprise he scored 2 goals.

He's a grafter, good in the air and has decent technique. He was shoved into our side, out of position, with a Manager who was in the door 2 seconds and told to qualify for the Champions League.

Berget is a good player IMO and unfortunately for him he came to Celtic when it was never going to work out for him.
