It looked to me like we were saving energy for the 2nd half. Not much pressing and I've never seen us so defensive under Deila

 

Been nervy as * so far. Bitton, Izzy and Van Dijk all been leagues ahead of any other outfield player. Get GMS and Ciftci off, get Griffiths and Commons on.

 

Commons to cut in off the right in the second half

 

Bitton looks streets ahead of any our midfield yet again. Like he did in the first game. He has been brilliant.

We've been awful , kick and rush football and our striker is isolated.. There is more chances for Griff to get in behind them as Ciftci isn't a pacey in behind striker..

Happy with Izzy , VVD and Biton so far , others must improve as this mob is there for the taking.

Horrible half of football.

Boyata is doing the same mistakes he was making against Ross Co, and Lustog has been caught overlapping and they've had a chance to hit us on the break.

Johansen has wasted a couple of decent passing opportunities in dangerous areas, and Mackay-Steven is giving away possession every time he gets the ball. Cifcti has not once anticipated a ball in behind.

The positives are, they don't look very good. They knock it around in innocuous areas, and have given it away in their own half numerous times. Let's get the ball to the feet of Ciftci and get the 3 supporting players running off him.
