He was definitely more focused on defending tonight but he rarely misses a challenge when he gets a sniff and pounces excellently..

The midfield did him no favours covering and certainly as an option going forward..

Solid defensively tonight. Hopefully first choice from here on.

    His tackling is impeccable.

Best I've seen from any player for a while.

Agreed. Brilliant player and, yet again, put most of the rest of the team to shame.

He's the top tackler in the Europa League, averaging 5.7 per game.

He times his tackles brilliantly, if he continued like this he will be a Southampton regular in two years.

He has a proper chance to make himself a long term fixture here, his attitude will ensure that.

By far the best thing to come out of last night.

Seems to have great positioning for such a young guy. Not scared to put in a tackle and can cross a ball without putting it high & wide 90% of the time.

Wit a player the wee man is. More balls than half the senior players in our team put together.

Wee guy has been brilliant, I actually thought he started off ropey at first, but the boy came onto a brilliant game, very very impressive.

I actually thought the defence with the exception of Lustig (more 1st half, improved 2nd) played really well.

Unless he's injured, if Ronny doesn't play him from now on, it will be criminal.

Impressed by his commitment he certainly is a Celtic player with good potential. Can he last 90' minutes? He seems to get taken off.

If half the team played like he has in the last few games we would be in a much better place just now.
More fight...more heart and desire and more tackles won than most of our (big time players).

I like his attempts at making the tackle before the player looks to play the ball bassicly guessing and timing it right

As I said to McGuire today he's admitted right now he can hardly go a full 90 mins

    Impressed again today.

That run to get on the end of Allan's trhough ball, then getting the cross into Griffiths for no.2 was * brilliant.

Heart of a lion has this wee man.

Reminds a wee bit of Jackie albeit on the other flank.
