He was injured a lot in his first season but still played like 20 odd games so Lennon was trying to play him.

I'm aware of his age, my point is Tierney is developing under Deila. To suggest he would have under any other Manager is hypothetical.

Who is to say you or I would even know his name without Deila giving him his chance? No one.

I very, very rarely think Deila talks pish. He doesn't always back up what he says but his views and opinions on football are up there with the best in the game IMO. On a par with Gary Neville in terms of enthusiasm, passion and sense being spoke regularly about football.

    Very true mate.

Don't think that's a major plus at the moment though.

Point me out where he said he would do that imminently and I will agree with you.

Facts are he didn't and hasn't.

Lets be honest here. Ronny is a great physio, he gets players fit who have been struggling their careers. He is a great nutritionist, he is all about the 1%. He is also a great guy of that there is no doubt.

He is not a football manager though. He cannot set a defence up for *.

It's that * simple. He has qualities but not the qualities we need in a Celtic manager.

There's no doubting Ronny develops players, he's shown that and hopefully we have many more youth players like Tierney to come through the ranks as well. We've been needing a golden generation of young players for a while not just the odd one every few years.

"I am only here to build the club and form it in the right direction."
I think we are headed in the opposite direction don't you?

"We should win every game at Celtic Park & it should be frightening for opponents to come here".
Who the * would be frightened to play us at Celtic park at the moment?

“I want people to come to the stadium & enjoy what they’re seeing."
The football has been worse since Lennon left and I actually criticised lennon on the way we played, but looking back we actually played some nice stuff compared to what we are now.

The guy is a * conman who has a great use of rhetoric to fool everyone into thinking he is actually a good manager. His words do not transfer onto the pitch in any way.

I think it's the quality of our defence that speaks volumes.

But I agree I think he'd be an excellent coach under any manager, he's not gained the experience from a mentor to become a manager. Someone like Strachan would be a perfect mentor for Ronny at Celtic.

That would be brilliant. I wonder if he would take a step back like that?

Could maybe bring someone like Strachan in as a DOF so it doesn't seem like Ronny is being undermined?

There isnt a single person in this forum that knows more about setting up a defence than John Collins, or John Kennedy....end of story.
And yet people think that because the team has let in goals, Ronny hasnt a clue! How does that work? People on a forum know more about setting up a defence than a decent young manager, aided by 2 top former professionals!?
Somehow i get the feeling if he was making a * of it behind the scenes, someone would tell him.Nah, people in here know more about football than Ronny and John do.

he is being undermined though. In reality that is a demotion and would never work. You cant cut a mans balls off. I think if that Baxter fella came in it would have been the end of Lennon as a manager.

I know nothing about setting up a defence. I'm also not employed by Celtic Football Club.

If Tommy can go from manager to youth coach then it's good enough for Ronny.

Well I would guess because they have been employed to stop us leaking goals yet we somehow still concede a lot might be a good indicator that they don't know what they are doing. But how should I know i'm just a fan.
