Solid good game and hopefully he will get better or at the very least maintain what he has done so far. People need to calm down and not heap undue pressure on the lad.

Players and coaches speak very highly of him, and still only 18. Hopefully we've got a player on our hands, here.

Not going to get carried away.

Looks promising so hopefully he can kick on from here. Would be great to have him really establish that spot as his, as a homegrown player.

Would be amazing if we ended up with Tierney, Henderson and Nesbitt as first team regulars, not to mention Forrest :50:

I think Tierney has looked solid and composed at left back and he provides a defensive shield down that left flank that is missing from Izzy's game, and on the evidence seen so far, I think if Ronny is serious about keeping his job, then Tierney should keep his place. Just seeing Tierney's name on the team sheet makes Celtic look defensively stronger to me.

Seen 1 development game he played 90 minutes and he stuck out like a sore thumb as operating at a higher level than his team mates.

Any highlights you see of their games backs that up as well.

Looks brilliant mate. Definitely the most skillful out of the youngsters coming through.

    Decent Paul, cheers.

All I know is he is an attacking midfielder of sorts. Hopefully he can make an impact.

Scoring for fun for the youth team. Scored a brilliant hattrick away to Helsinki .. Two of them were excellent goals (video is in the youth theead if you have a look). He also scored a hattrick against the huns in a cup final. He's a small nippy winger but he plays up front a lot for the youths as far as I know.. As did Forrest.

    Decent bhoys.

Our youth team always seems to do well against other youth sides around Europe so it bugs me why we can't get more through on a regular basis.

I know it's a big jump from youth to first team but surely more should be coming through.

Watching old games today, wee Tierney puts me in mind of Celtic left backs of the 60's and 70's - fearless, direct and * hungry.

    Yassssss!!!!!!

Bring on the kids......bring on the kids......bring on the kids!!!!!!

Ken. I reckon he'll get some game time here and there up to Christmas but he is a prime candidate for a loan move. 19 in February.

We've not given enough of our young players enough professional games, which stunts their development. There are obviously other factors that can affect individuals, like Watt's attitude and Forrest's injury problems, but even that can be helped with the right guidance.

It seems we've learned from that, with sending players out on loan to play regularly at other clubs, when they'd have warmed the bench and played the odd game in years gone by. I'd even advocate Tierney going on loan if he's not going to play often enough here.

Aye it's definitely been a problem.

One thing I thought Deila could help us improve on..there has been signs of it but I think we need to see more making an impact.

I hope he sticks to his guns and keeps Tierney in the side, he should be there as long as he continues to perform. Bound to make mistakes of course, we just have to be acceptant of that.

But then do you keep Emilio as back up, or cash in during the transfer window?
