He's been the same since he broke into the team? Back when he was winning individual awards aplenty?

I'm more than happy to agree that he's been pish of late, but to claim he's always been the same is * ridiculous.

    Talk about exaggerating.

We want to bin him because he's been here 5 years and hasn't improved at all. Arguably he's went backwards. He's a winger who struggles to cross or shoot, and he's a total coward when the going gets tough.

Nobody is saying Allan is a saviour. However he's barely been given a chance, but when he has he's done alright and wants to make things happen.

It's * mental that people want Forrest given another contract.

Exaggerating? Where? I said that I believe he's one of the better players in our team, then went on to list the awards and trophies he's won.

And there are plenty who deem Allan as some sort of saviour. I've heard it all, with the latest being that he's the best midfield player we have!

    Indeed.

Griffiths, Rogic, McGregor, Commons and even Brown have all been better this season.

Domestically, Forrest is on par with Armstrong.

Just for the record, I said that I believe him to be one of our better players, period. I didn't say one of our better players this season.

I've said that virtually every one of our players have been performing below par (aside from Griffiths), and that includes Forrest.

Saying he's one of our best players is exaggerating, big time. We all have our own opinions but come on to *. He's nowhere near being one of our best players.

And in terms of the trophies he's won:

    - Football is a team game. Saying he's won leagues and cups means * all in regards to how good or bad an individual is. Efe Ambrose has won those at Celtic but he's clearly not good enough.

    - He did win young player of the year aye, but that was 4 or 5 years ago. In that time he's regressed. His last individual trophy, according to wiki, was in the 2011-12 season.

Since then he hasn't appeared in any SPL/SPFL team of the years, and he hasn't even won a Player of the Month award.

For an attacking player at Celtic, that's not good at all.

Well, I think he is. He's one a few that I'd actually keep if given the choice.

Ambrose is and has been part of a bad Celtic side though. Forrest was part of a side that played Champions League football, and he didn't look out of place on that stage in my opinion.

He's definitely in a slump at the moment, but he's got the ability to be a very good player for us. Which has to be taken into account at a time when we don't have many very good players.

There's a very good player in there, and more importantly, he's not just a good player, but one who brings something different to the table.

Players with his abilities aren't common, and shouldn't be discarded so readily.

Ambrose has been here since 2012, they've been in the first team for the same time really. So if he's been part of a bad Celtic side then so has Forrest. And don't forget, the bold Efe had a stormer against Barca. Him and Kelvin Wilson were solid in the CL until that Juve game.

In my opinion, Forrest has been in a slump, by and large, for at least a couple of years.

I'll agree to disagree, had this discussion too many times.:smiley-laughing002:

Give him a run of games on the left and drop Armstrong, if he doesn't perform or get's injured again I'd let him leave in the summer.

The amount of good games in comparison to his appearances makes me suspect that all the Celtic managers or Peter Lawell have been * his maw.

Personally I feel he was much better under Lenny than he has been under Deila.

That's because Deila wants him to actually work hard rather than stand at the halfway line fixing his socks or his hair.

Ronny keeps reiterating only players who show maximum effort in training will make the match day squad...

Forrest hasn't featured much recently and that may be down to effort.

I reckon he'll be off in the summer. Probably to a newly promoted EPL side.

Roberts, Allan, Christie and GMS are all better options right now for the wide positions.

If we get another winger in the summer, Forrest will be off. Hopefully.
