How long does he have left? if its 6 months and he signs for another club he should be forced to play in the reserves.

He's fast as *. Handy for running roon to the shop at lunchtime.

Seriously though, it seems that this is continually going to go round in circles with Forrest.

We have some who still claim he either needs, or is starting to benefit from, an injury free run in the team. I think he's had that, and still hasn't improved enough to hold down a first team start. I honestly don't see how people can say he's been one of the best players this season.

Likewise, I'm not claiming that everyone stating he is poor is automatically correct because it's the view I hold. There is a player in Forrest. Everyone now knows that his attitude gets in the road of that though.

I can't remember a player who split opinion as wide as he does. It seems with him, he's either great or *. There's no in between with him.

Hopefully this new boy hits the ground running and we won't have reason to debate how good or bad Forrest is.

When he came on the other day he looked as if he'd just been dragged outta bed after a night on the bevvy. Could be a real player but serious doubts about his fitness and attitude. Doesn't want to know about the defensive side of his role either, tracking back and such.

The new boy is in so that Deila has an excuse to drop Commons on the right. As for Forrest I dont get people slating him as he is better at his worst than the next project we sign from Lawwells mate Dudu Dougie Dougie whatever the * he's called is going to be.

Against Qarabag he played left wing, didn't play many minutes, but came on and filled in.
Malmo he's played Right Wing and Right Midfield. Right wing we won 3-2, Right Midfield we lost 2-0.

So for me those are the two positions for him.

I also think he's better starting games and getting subbed early rather than off the bench.

It's in him to go out and roast Logan and Taylor tonight against Aberdeen and on the left and cutting inside Logan and keeping the tackle on his left foot. Taylor he should fly past.

Problem is getting the ball to him early enough, squandering chances and those games where he's chasing shadows defensively.

A utility player. Someone you throw him in, let him run himself into the ground and sub him early. Old TB would have him subbed the first time he showed signs of forgetting who he's competing against. That's something that's crept into his attitude a wee bit. I can understand that being in space waiting for the ball, knowing you can go one on one with the last defender, or goalie, but the pass is too slow to get to you.

So that's up to the manager to point that out.

Other than that, he might need to bide his time. He's not signed a new deal and it's maybe not a problem, although he's not from a Celtic supporting family and England is very, very appealing. Part of me thinks down south he'd be worth big money in teams where the physical side can be managed by players around him. If you can get that right i think that's how you get the most out of him.

We've a tonne of options on the right, but the left i think he's a chance to cement a place in the side.

I more meant he has his uses as a squad player. Even I can see his productivity isn't nearly good enough.

He is an asset in Europe though, that is unarguable.

It's just this "punt" chat everytime a player isn't performing. I don't know if anyone has noticed but we aren't exactly blessed with really pacy players, something that is invaluable in the modern game.

    No he's not.

He's here to improve the squad. Not everything traces back to some sort of Deila agenda you know..

Just depends what mood he is in, a bit like armstrong in that if the going is tough he will disappear. Lacks desire to become a really good player.

    1. No he isn't.
    2. If Commons doesn't play on the right from now then...fantastic. He's as slow as a week in the jail. Should never be played out wide.

Can't single him out from that team tonight. He just blended in to a team of cowards.

Diagonal ball was sent across to him from Tierney , he didn't even bother to challenge for it in the air , genuinely just didn't try his *. He didn't call for the ball most of the time because he didn't want it . Get him to *.

Came on for us too late tonight. Plays alright against them should have been on at half time imo.

Alot of things should have been done at half time tbf
