Good player, but not handsome enough for the first-team. Punt. :icon_mrgreen:

His appearance in the Mary's meals appeal video with McGeouch is always worth re-watching for a giggle :56: I have attached the relevant video

So because they persist with him I should be forced to like him then?

Bollocks. He's never lived up to any potential he may have had and probably never will.

People need to stop clinging onto the hope he is going to be something special. He's near enough 25 now and what has he done. Look at what Mcgeady had done by this stage.

Reliable source. Apparently wee James demolished Leigh's post match stash a tea cakes. Carnage obviously ensued. Big Carlton, sporting a white 'tash & a contented demeanour looked on.

In my opinion he isn't very good. With Forrest though he's the kind of player you would much rather playing for you than against and if he added decent crossing to his game he would be brilliant.

Easily good enough for a top Championship team/Lower EPL team IMO.

He's good enough for us. Doesn't matter about England.

I would rather we kept him, mainly because we would get nothing for him, but I wouldn't be fussed if he was to leave. He can be a good player, but more often than not, he will be posted missing in games. His final ball is mediocre and he doesn't get many goals. His main attribute is pace, but if the fullback he is up against can shift also, he doesn't have a trick up his sleeve to beat him. I still see him as an impact player. I think he is more suited to coming on when teams are tiring.

He's one of the few who's proven he can be a bit of a peat in Europe. We need that.

His finishing and final ball haven't been good this season, they usually are though.

No way is he good enough for any team in the Premier League. Half of the SPL defenders know how to handle him.

Think it's better for everyone if he just leaves in the Summer, that's 6 years since he broke through and he's not improved at all, only regressed. Isn't exciting to watch anymore, just predictable.

He's definitely good enough for the EPL, fast players like him thrive down there, he'd have room to run into.

Raheem Sterling cost Man City 50 million because he has pace.

There's guy getting games week in and week out in the Premiership that he's better than so I'm unsure how he wouldn't get a Premiership team - he would. Harry Redknapp stated a few years ago he was on his radar, which means he'll be on the radar of plenty of scouts. Guys with his pace will be attractive to Premiership sides.

His best games for us in Europe have both been when he has come off the bench. Helsingborg and Spartak Moscow both away.

We will have to agree to disagree regarding his final ball. I think it is poor mate. His finishing is pretty good to be fair, but I don't feel he weighs in with enough goals.

The fact Raheem Sterling is young and English will have added plenty to his value as well. Man City were badly needing homegrown players if I remember correctly.
