    For sure.

Forrest has never been near McGeady for me and to be honest I've never seen the comparisons, certainly in terms of style they are two entirely different wingers.

Both on either side would be interesting, however.

Sums it up perfectly. Another thing McGeady had over Forrest, is character. Forrest hides far too often in games, McGeady would always be wanting the ball, no matter how good or bad he was playing. If Forrest is having a poor game, he doesn't want involved.

It's night and day. McGeady is 10x the player Forrest could ever hope to be. One in a generation player.

And as I said, I like Forrest.

Yeah I'm with the majority of later posters here, although not proclaiming him as some sort of super top drawer player, I've never been a fan of Forrest, for me flatters to deceive too many times, when he's on form he's great, but even though Aiden was inconsistent too, he's way more reliable than Forrest.

Although I'd like to see GMS get some more game time, he's been poor so far, but still early in his Celtic career, he's a talented boy though and sure he has a lot to offer.

He's like Samaras. Can be absolutely immense and absolutely * in the space of 5minutes. The better the player they are up against the better they seem to play. Very frustrating because you know how good they can be.

He can be so frustrating to watch sometimes, I sometimes get the impression he couldn't give a *, then at other times, he's the best player on the park for us.

If only we could import efes heart and commitment into wee jamsey. :smiley-laughing002:

He's been good in patches, can sometimes be unplayable, hasn't done it consistently as yet though.

The lack of end product has also been disappointing. He'll go on brilliant runs and produce nothing.

Saying that, I can remember him putting a few on a plate for Griff and him missing but he does need to be that bit more creative.

Which is odd, he's been generally better but worse in the final 3rd than he has been in recent years. Usually he has good end product but plays worse in general.

Decent in 'shop window' European games this season..

Can look disinterested domestically, however I really feel with an injury free season would do wonders for his confidence.

Think he struggles with the lack of space tbh, we need to work the ball to him when he's more isolated on a player. We work him into postions where there's 2/3 people around him.

In Europe he has space to play in.

He should weigh in with a lot more goals though, he does get into good positions domestically.

But you're right about Europe he relishes 4-2-3-1, one of the few who does.

He's done it much more than in previous seasons though, wouldn't be hard though considering he has been injured so much in years gone by.

He has played some great balls into the box though that haven't been capitalised on, that is no excuse really though.

Definitely needs another season to show what he can do, I still think selling him will be a mistake because he can only get better.

Selling him would be daft. He's one of few who is happy on the bigger stage.

I just feel like the Forrest just now is the Forrest we've always had and the one we will always have.

He hasn't improved in years and he isn't going to. His final ball will always leave much to be desired and he'll always have a tendency to go missing in some games.

Selling him might not be the best thing to do but we definitely need to sign another couple of wingers with a lot more quality.

    Agreed.

However signing wingers with more quality might be a problem.

Like it or not, a winger like James might be our level at the moment.
