He is our best winger by far when fit and should be a first team starter

Agree mate. Up until this season, I wouldn't have been bothered one bit had he left at the end of his current deal. The fact he hadn't been given a new deal doesn't surprise me. What had he done to deserve a new one? Now he has found a bit of form though, and he has merited a new deal.

I find him such a frustrating player.

On his day I think he's brilliant. He can ghost past players and has shown in Europe that he is capable of performing well.

On the other hand, I think he's a bit of coward. His performance and attitude when he come on against Inter Milan at the San Siro last season was a disgrace. And unfortunately, that wasn't a one-off.

You don't know what you're getting with Forrest. One match he can be flying against some of the best defenders in Europe, and the next game he could be hiding against teams like Kilmarnock.

He is so * frustrating . If he could shoot properly he would be an amazing player . Ghosts past players and is great at making room for a shot but he is * hopeless when it comes to pulling the trigger.

No matter how well he does or is doing people still find the need to put a negative slant on their comments

Has been playing well this season and it would be great news for sure if we got a good contract extension agreed with him.

He's been better this season but he's not done anything incredible, for me.

1 goal and 2 assists so far in 22 games. I think he's vastly overrated by many on here and always has been.

He's been our second best player this season after Griffiths, He's tore defences to shreds at times and put in some amazing performances - consistently being our most dangerous player.

This has been my opinion of him for quite a while now.

In the mood when his attitude is right, he is unplayable.

Then, as said, he can look as though he could not be bothered and goes into wee pockets on the park where it looks like he's hiding.

There is absolutely no doubting the guys talent. It's his attitude that's always bothered me.

Hopefully that will improve, and tbh it looks as though it is recently.

He's got good skills, but he's still got room to improve. For him it should be about goals and assists.

1 goal and 2 assists in 22 games. Dedryck Boyata has scored more goals.

Shooders, flatters to deceive, taking players on is his game. Scoring goals and laying on assists isn't.

It's a big reason why we've flopped in Europe and i mind when Collins was a pundit, saying the only thing missing was the guys coming through from the development side.

THat's great to see, but you also need the physical side as well as being able to read the play.

Shooders has great technique, he's quick and clever, but he's also really bad in a positional sense defensively and gets carried away thinking the team can carry him.

All Ronnie sees is the techniques and the pace, being able to run at defenders. That's great but he still needs to look up or around him, before he gets the ball. That way he might be able to make better decisions.

Down the left i think he's the best we have just now, and sticking him back on the right just shows up how one footed he is. But technically in terms of taking players on, in the league he should be scoring more goals.

Deila thinks it's all about staying fit, but really it's about scoring goals if you think you're unplayable up front.

I agree with made in Ireland and Paul here, that's my exact feelings towards the guy too.

I will add though. I've seen a massive improvement in the attitude and application this season from last. Happy to see him in the starting XI these days.

Just heard on the news there that we can't hold contract talks with Forrest because the club said his agent wont return our calls.

Can't believe he is free to sign a contract with another club in a fortnight. He has been injury free for nearly two * years and playing well since last January (give or take the odd game).

If we lose him we only have ourselves to blame.

I'd be * fuming if we lost him on a free. I could see Premier League clubs being interested in him if he's available on a free.

Agents are * parasites. Really been impressed with Forrest recently, his injury proneness is the only thing standing in the way of him becoming a key player for us. Should be starting every game he can just now.
