That's unfair Paul. Most people agree with me that he has been good this season.

Nothing like some others who waffle on loads of * on a consistent basis.

I like the movement between him Commons and Rogic, Griffiths as well. Balance in that is superb.

First goal of the season for him I think. Happy for that, end product is all that he's been lacking

Yeah he has been good in spells, I've said that too.

He wasn't good enough for his thread to be bumped today though.

Sometimes I'm probably too harsh on him, but it's because his attitude annoys me at times. I also think that some folk, yourself included, try too hard to praise him.

This bump is proof of that.

I'd be surprised if many thought he was better than Armstrong today.

    Just an opinion :50:

That goal was an absolute peach, if Messi scored that the footballing world would be talking about it for years.

It would be strange if his thread wasn't bumped after that.

Ok, you can accuse me of being at it now. :icon_mrgreen:

I thought it was closer to Dennis Bergkamp.

Ok, I'm at it now :icon_mrgreen:

His goal aside, I thought he was quite wasteful today. He can get past players relatively easy at times but his end product really needs worked on. His crossing is poor and his shots from around the edge of the box just have zero power.

Nice finish today though. Took it well.

To be fair to him, he's been playing on the left so most of his crosses are with his weaker foot, and I still don't think his final ball has been that bad.

I was thinking about it earlier, I reckon Ronny is playing him on the left all the time to get him to constantly improve his left peg, as before I think he was a bit one-footed. A winger that is dangerous with both feet is a lot harder to mark. The way Forrest is playing at the moment has defenders confused because they don't know whether he's going to cut in on his favoured foot or go for the byline and whip one in.

He'll only get better I think if he stays injury free.

Some player and some goal, he's better technically than every other player in the squad and intelligence wise, he's so underrated that people don't even consider he has these attributes it's crazy. He's our best player and I'm quite sure everyone will be in agreement with that a years time from now.

Rogic is the best technical player in the squad, after him probably Bitton then probably a toss up out of Stokes, Forrest, Allan and Armstrong i'd say.

Well taken goal today but too often ran into trouble rather than sending the ball on.

Took his goal very well, but he still wouldn't be first pick for me.

If he could stay fit and consistent he would be a very important player for the team.

Brilliant today though, goal was fantastic.

He's been playing well recently but once again people need to seriously settle down. The post above being an example.

Strachan saying in the studio he needs to get back to where he can be which is, I quote "A real top player in Europe". Come on now, we need to be realistic.

He has a long way to go before I am fully convinced. Encouraging signs though.

He has been fit for over a year and consistent for about 6 months now.
