Even proven players can be flops.

    Gravesen being an example.

And how are we getting on with replacing Hooper???

The fact we're still looking for a goalscorer is the answer.

80 odd goals in his time at Celtic. Not a shabby record

Unlikely compared to an unknown with a distinctly average goalscoring record though.

Both Vossen and Hooper have been proven to score goals over their careers, chances are they'd do it here...for a second time in Hooper's case.

Am no playing down his time here. He was excellent for us, got a lot of love for him. A top striker as far as am concerned are the best strikers in the game, that's not Hooper.

But were getting of track now...

    Your original statement was ^^

So you think currently, that Hooper is a top player, one were crying out for?

A top player that Norwich don't want, behave 'ardnut:smiley-laughing002:

No bad actually. Griffiths has scored 21 goal in 25 starts. 37 appearances all in with substitute appearances. Not to forget he played a good number of games out wide.

So aye, "how are we getting on with replacing Hooper?" Not to shabby:86:

Listen up doeball, how hard is this to understand for that wee peanut baldy nut a yours. Hooper was a top striker for us, no? Banged in goals at every level. How would he not be that TOP striker we'd be looking for?

Do you reckon big Dermot will sanction a move for Suarez?:56:

I think Hoopers a step above Leigh Griffiths. That's no bash on Griffiths but he's a far more one dimensional player.

I think both Hooper and McGeady are players who can take us to a different level in Europe, who are able to compete at that level due to their ability. It's just what we think we need more.

That's beyond question and I like Griffiths as a player.

Who's choosing neither? Hooper, McGeady or no one? Eh, I'll have no one, please. :smiley-laughing002:

I don't think so mate. Think Hooper is head and shoulders above him, his all round play is much better.

What Griffiths has above him is a goal out of absolutely nowhere and heading ability, which is always a very good trait to have as a striker. Think everything else Hooper is better at.

Would love both but Hooper edges it. Great for us and better than any other striker at the club at present. Would take him over Vossen too.
