    Aye, next closest anyone got was Hugo Sanchez 26 year ago who got 38.

    58 goals in all competitions he has to Ronaldos most in a season was 61 so he's not even far off levelling that wouldnt be that weird if he scored another 3 goals in the last 1.5 games of the season. Not close to Messi's most though which was 73 but Messi's 2nd most in a season is "only" 60 so he could reach or beat that too.

    Suarez would also become only the 2nd player to Messi in recent times to score more goals to games from open play. Messi got 55 goals in 50 games from open play in the 2012/13 season, only time he's ever done it. Suarez currently had 54 goals from 52 games from open play. Ronaldo's never scored more goals than games played from open play.

    Closest Ronaldo has got was 48 goals from 54 games in 2014/15. Suarez so far has 6 more than that in 2 less games.

    Aye, that'll never be beaten nobody will probably get anywhere near close to that.

    It's more goals than Shevchenko, Aguero, Raul or Henry managed in the 2 highest scoring seasons of their careers combined :smiley-laughing002: also only 8 less than the Original Ronaldo managed in his 2 highest scoring seasons, 7 less than Van Nistelrooys, 6 less than Lewandowski's.
