Di Maria's basically a done deal, for me theres no chance of Ramos going to Man Utd, better chance of Ambrose signing for them.

    Pedro probably 50/50.

It's supposedly been a done deal for weeks:smiley-laughing002: It will happen but he is Man U player. Only right you include Man U's signing targets

Di Maria was absolute quality prior to going to Man Utd. He was one of Madrid's better players the year before he left in my opinion. I was surprised they sold him actually.

Di marias passing was shockingly bad last season, no way he'd fit barcas style imo. Hes a counter attacking player, possession football with no space doesnt suit him at all.

Agreed but he was there to get the ball up quickly from midfield to Ronaldo and Bale and support. It was all about his lace and counter attacking ability. His ball retention was still horrendous.

It's why they let him go, passing was in the low 70's percentage wise I think Ancelotti daid.

Aye, he would be * at Barca or Bayern but I bet you would see a sensational player if he was at someone like Chelsea or Juve.

For his passing being so poor, he done no bad with assists. Top of the assists with 17, nobody was close to him.

When he played on the right-wing for them though he was hit and miss, for me he's not consistent or clever enough to be relied on on the wing for a top team. He's just too dumb a player, lacks the cleverness/technical play on the ball of players like Sanchez, Hazard, Neymar, Ribery and Robben who are just much more reliable performers who dont really let you down or make a * of much.

His last season at Real was great though when he played in the centre, helped out defensively and used his energy and pace to drive forward on the counter, was a vital part of the team.

Would compare him and Pedro to like Samaras and Stokes. Di Maria/Samaras capable of turning it on and playing at a higher level but overall Pedro/Stokes will play better in the majority of games and be a better fit for most teams.

Aye, his counter attacking ability mate. That team suited him down to a tee. They tried to go more possesion based with the signing of James last season, think they found that the better option.

Probably wasn't, Di Maria was one of the biggest reasons they won the Champions League and the reason he mostly replaced Ozil, their previous most creative player.

Thats why he's an enigma, great pace and energy, actually a good crosser of the ball with a bit of brilliance in him at times but also a brainless * who can be horrendous and is fairly often for a world class player, more often than most others would be, games where he cant pass or cross a ball and just does nothing right that you would never get from someone like Pedro who's quite a steady performer but lacks that wee bit extra that Di Maria is capable of.

I was taking it seriously until you put Samaras in the same sentence as Di Maria, and sort of made a comparison with them.

They blundered in my opinion, because Madrid were a much poorer team last year without Di Maria in my opinion, and a poorer team in general. When you have Bale & Ronaldo, it makes sense to play counter attacking football, hence why they won the Champions League doing so. They were a team full of individuals last season, something Di Maria isn't I don't think.

Angel di Maria: "I am very happy to join PSG... We're going to try to go as far as possible in the Champions League."

From GFN_France which are quite a reliable French source. Quotes taken from an interview with Bein Sports Arabic while at PSG's medical centre.

I think it's safe to say he won't be playing for United again. :smiley-laughing002:

Pedro is one of the most underrated players in the world. Only because of Messi, Suarez, Neymar and Sanchez when he was there.

And David Villa, even at that until last season he was still an absolute key player.

Nah, Ramos has been stringing United along all summer to get a new contract at Madrid.

Di Maria's saying stuff like that after he's travelled to Abu Dhabi to get a PSG medical.

Does he still though, its about 3 seasons now since Pedro was last first choice at Barcelona, been a really long time really since he was performing week in week out.

Im a fan of Pedro and think he will be very good for Man U if he goes but he's just that wee notch below world class i've always thought just not quite as good as even Alexis Sanchez or the other players who've played there in his time Villa, Ibra, Neymar, Suarez.

That was this season, near the end of it if I remember right. Sanchez was outperformed at Barca by Pedro. He's a quality player.
