There are some parts where I just kept getting myself killed. The best thing you can do is just leave certain missions until later. I spent a lot of time doing Monster Nests, any smaller contracts, Guarded Treasure etc.

Stick with it. Whereabouts are you?

    Stick with it.

Some areas and quests are very difficult. I've found that the recommended level for some quests is bullshit. In Velen I was trying to do a level 6 quest at level 10 and I kept dying.

Just look at the bestiary/google/or work out which Sign works best on which monster. Makes life a lot easier.

I started playing on "normal" but switched to the second hardest difficulty not long after. Find that quite easy too tbf.

    Just completed it.

Probably one of the best games I've ever played. It's absolutely massive, so much to do in it and the dialogue and choice aspect is second to none. Recommend it to anyone.

I'm still in Skellige and have gotten quite bored, finding it hard to get the motivation to start playing again. Does it start picking up again soon?

Tbh mate I didn't think there was a lull in the game at all especially when you get to Skellige. There's so much to do in the main quests without even bothering with the side quests, witcher contracts and treasure hunts.

I'm playing on xbox one and the graphics aren't that great, they're good but not what I expected and the loading times are atrocious getting them in the middle of cutscenes ffs! But apart from the that it's a cracking game stil in velen so hunners left to do .

I think maybe I just got a little burnt out, after playing a game for 60+ hours I usually start to play something else, I'm now skipping parts of conversations and skipping some quests completely once I out level them, kinda just want to see the ending now.

Running it on my PC the graphics are some of the best I've seen, there have been literally no loading screens for me either, just shows the hardware difference between the current gen of consoles and PC's.

id say along with skyrim, this is the best open world RPG on any format. so much to to do and i keep getting pulled off the main quests and end up just roaming around doing side quests, contracts and stuff.

i havent played it in a few weeks, as i had put about 50/60 hours in and found myself skipping conversations and didnt want to get bored of it. luckily AC Black Flag was free with Xbox game with gold, so i started playing that for a while.

itching to get back playing witcher now though. hopefully i will complete it before skyrim ends up being backwards compatible because i fancy another crack at that too.

Bought this a few weeks ago, not really played it. Installed to have a look.

On 2 weeks holiday from work, started to play this morning......wow! Just wow!

Brilliant game. Hooked right from the start. So open. Vast! Graphically it's amazing too.

    Loving it!

Reckon it's as * as or if not better than Skyrim?

I've seen some people say it is.

I'm going to get this once I get platinum in Far Cry.

    Hmm, it's a tough one.

The combat in The Witcher is better and more fun I think. Plus obviously it's beautiful.

I prefer Skyrim though. Could get lost in that game for hours on end.

Completed the main story a while back on just doing the other bits left on the map, think i have got more than half of them on the main map but not even started skellige side quest properly as there is so much of them.

Got the mastercrafted Griffin Armor and it looks ace :) Just looking for the other parts of mastercraft on wolven armor now.

Absolutley love this game and i think the add on for the expansion pass is out this month. Bought it a while back so really looking forward to that additional 30 hours of gameplay/story.

I completed this about a week or two ago (and replayed the last 15-20 hours to see a different ending) and enjoyed it immensely. Despite its flaws (and there are a few) it's my favourite game on the current gen.

It depends on what you enjoyed about Skyrim. They have some similarities, but they're still very different games.

    • The Witcher is generally a much darker game than Skyrim

    • The main story is probably better than Skyrim, but it still has its flaws

    • Side-quests are of a similar standard, although Skyrim probably edges it

    • Exploration is far better in Skyrim than in the Witcher. It's not bad in TW3, but I didn't find it particularly interesting

    • You play a set character in the Witcher games, rather than a player created one

Unfortunately the first expansion, the 10 hour one, isn't out until October. The second expansion, which is 20 hours and adds a new area, isn't out until the first quarter of 2016.

I loved it, but I've not played it in over a month. Will definitely get back into it once I get more time.

Aye, I didn't play it for a month or so. Went back to try and finish about a week ago and only played about 20 minutes and I couldn't be bothered.

Need to get back into it.

Well i just ordered it. Having high expectations on it. I like to go my own way, like in skyrim or fallout, where the road leads me. I hear its open world but is it really?
