    I don't particularly want him.

I do however think it's inevitable that we will sign him.

Went on their forum there. There's a thread.

Before even the mention of us, they are all saying he's *, lazy, fat etc.

    I'm hoping we stay clear.

I'd lay a trail of Kebab meat running from Tannadice Street to Kerrydale Street.

But surely theres a Celtic fan here who has seen enough to give him a review. We have had scouts on him for some time and there fans seemingly wouldnt mind him leaving... So whats all the hype? Can someone actually say whether we should be going after him or not?

I've said before I have never seen the potential in him that others have. You don't seem to hear much about him, like GMS and Armstrong when they were there.

He is not very good..... our sites need aiming higher than this...... if this happens then this is a further endorsement that we are not as well off as we think ...... and it will mean no Champions League footy next year either. We need to buy smarter.......Gets me thinking -are we planning to cut the cloth as the board know we will not make CL footy next year?????

They just signed his younger brother Harry to a contract. Touted as having a higher potential than John altho with reading with what they have to say about him that doesnt really mean much. But just on paper... 16y/o-CB-6'6.... Guys an absolute giant and he's still raw. Are we looking at the wrong Souttar?! Imagine developing a 6'6 16 year old CB into our team... Maybe I'm getting to ahead of myself but I wouldnt be against that.

We need players who can make an instant impact now.

I don't see Souttar or his wee brother being able to do that.:56:

Agree, but I'm saying if we are actually linked with John Souttar and may possibly offer a pre-contract then IMO I'd be going after his brother instead. Younger, bigger, still touted as a good prospect. Either way I think we should be going after established players as you said but if we do make a move for Souttar, its Harry for me.

    So he's 6'6......and what!

He is no where near anything we need at mo and that's me seen him play often........let's think of something really radical here and totally alien........how about we develop the kids at 16 we have to be the next centre half considering we have 29 times the budget and coaching requirements at Lennoxtown compared to Utd.

He was Uniteds best player against us at Tannedice earlier in the season playing holding midfield, can also play CB. We could worse but if we go for him we also need to go for an experienced CB or sitting midfielder. For free on a pre-contract is risk free.
We already passed up McGinn on a free which was a mistake.

John Souttor. * me. I give up. Why are we signing this pish? Because he's Scottish? Every time I watch him on sportscene he's having a shocker and they are rock bottom of the Scottish premiership.
