I'm referring to the knuckle-dragging cretins who similarly infect their largely normal support.

You HATE people who spread HATE?

I'm sure that's an oxymoron, quite fitting actually.

    Largely normal support.

I'm guessing you missed the bile en masse when we play them?

Didn't look like a small minority to me.

There you go spreading hate again.

The internet sure has given a voice to some strange inhabitants of our support.

In all my days going on buses, in Celtic pubs and at games, I've never met a tim who seems to hate his own so much.

Is this a new thing or do you think we have always had people like that, and it's the birth of the internet that has given them a platform to spout this * that they wouldn't dare spout on a bus, pub or at the game?

Doesn't look like he's talking to me. I must be one of the hate spreading, bigoted, paranoid, perma-offended dummy spitters he talks about.

Sorry - didn't realise that his response equated to having the *. Which part of it did you find particularly awesome?

Sigh. So wanted to have a debate on this but it seems all scootz wants to do is spread hate.

What's '* shocking' about it? He's quite amusing... but still pretty * tame as far as after dinner speakers go!

You think turning a blind eye to a dangerous tackle, just because he had a run in with the player previously, is amusing?

You are either at the wind up or you need to re-evaluate your life.

I don't blame you scootz. I wouldn't engage someone I know was going to rip me to shreds either.

It's an after dinner speech... anecdotal stories are meant to be OTT and embellished. It will be different players names for the same story the next time it's told.

I have attended many a sportsman's dinner/charity event and I have learned that judging the speaker is ,usually, pointless. They will play to the audience and amend the "story/tale" to suit. An example and I wish I could remember the ref's name was when, in the space of 3 weeks, I attended a Dundee Utd one and then an Aberdeen one and the ref basically told the same "funny" story he just swapped the utd/Aberdeen players names around. So I would imagine the ref's do the same with us and deadco/sevco.

So we don't have a life now. Add that to the slavering perm-offended paranoid embarrassments that we all are.

And we're the ones who spread hate. :smiley-laughing002:

Considering the reputation that Scottish officials have had with us for many a year I'd say that such behaviour is stupid to say the least.
