    Usual suspects? :97:

You asked a question and I answered it. Clearly you're not interested in debate eh?

    Ronny picks the team
And he replaced stokes who has all these stats backing him, if the stats ment so much stokes would be in the team before Armstrong and Armstrong would have to win his place but no, he was straight into the team, as I said Armstrong is first choice there and it's up to Ronny to decide other wise, I would also have Armstrong in before him, but I could be wrong

Of course he was straight out of the team, he was injured. Armstrong over an injured Stokes, I'll agree there :50:

You keep asking a question, get it answered and then just ignore the answer and keep repeating yourself. :smiley-laughing002:

What does it matter? This thread is about the merits of keeping or selling Stokes. Stokes is a very good squad player who will give Armstrong a run for his money on the left.

That's one position we don't need to worry about in the summer.

    On form? Stokes.

Don't think Armstrong has ever went through anything like Stokes did last 6 months of last season where he scored 14 in 16 and set up an additional 7.

That's no poor reflection on Armstrong though.

And we're have I said he is not s good squad player ??? If you look back I said if he is willing to fight for his place then that is a good thing, but I can't see him ousting Armstrong, some people can't accept that

Who can't accept that? :smiley-laughing002: You need to lay off the drugs, or at least read the posts in the thread.

It is a position we need to worry about.

For me, Armstrong's long term future with us is in a more central role.

Stokes is a good player but he's one of these players you have to build the team around to get the best out of him and thats not gonna happen. I'd keep him, he's useful. But I think we need another player in there.

Then who knows, we've not seen Armstrong in his best position yet. I'd probably still go with Stokes because I think he covers Izzy better, links up with him better and he has a real effect on the outcome of the game, by creating and scoring goals.

Armstrong has been learning a new position, new teammates but seems to have a bit of quality and work rate about him with a surprising change of pace.

He's not shown that he can consistently be the creative force that Stokes has. Considering we struggle for goals this year, I wouldn't take any more creativity out of the side.

Armstrong done more in one match against Inter than Stokes has done in 5 years in Europe.

By scoring a goal? Stokes created the goal against Karagandy that sent us into the CL proper.. Id say that alone means he's done more in Europe for us than Armstrong.
