Anything above 3.5 million I think he's very good and if he went to Man Utd or someone and got a regular game he could improve like Vidic did when he went there but I wouldn't sell him considering how bad our defence is.

I doubt we'd be selling to Souness though. And we don't take part in any dodgy deals like the huns do

 

He's our captain,plays every game he is available for and a scotland regular

First of all English teams won't pay a lot of money for a Player in a Scottish League. With the exception of Boumsong it dosent happen to often.

They only pay big money amongst themsleves and considering 4.4m for Brown was the biggest transfer between to Scottish clubs it shows that the Scottish market aint exactly high.

And what does playing every game or being captain matter, you can still be pish

you on the pritstick? Mick is worth around 4.5 million and I think lower EPL teams would pay that for him. He has loads of CL and international experience and is captain of Celtic. Thats a great CV, probably as good as it gets for a Scottish based player.

 

I think some of the figures being thrown around show how far we have come in recent years.

 

I hate thinking about the day Mick will leave CP, can't see it happening any time soon with him holding such an important role within the team and he seems to be a very committed and loyal player. I could see a mid table club wanting him, maybe for about £7million +

 

Just reading the other thread on big mick reminded me of this one i started almost a year ago. Interesting to compare views in such a short space of time.

 

What's happened to all the criticism of him?

3.5 mill is probably realistic. K.Miller Scotland striker, CL experience went for what 2.5, Maloney went for 1mll. he's no Carlos Cuellar. They don't pay big money for Scottish players in the SPL.

Maloney is a bad example. They were paying to have him an extra couple of months after already presigning him for the next window when his contract was up... that was highway robbery if anything.
Petrov would be a better example.

I think McManus would easily get 4m from EPL if he was available. Possibly as high as 7 or 8... really depends on how nutty they are feeling that day.

If it was to a continental club, I think we'd get 3m at most -- probably including addons.

4 million, at the most. to a mid table English team, Possibly.

I dont rate him as highly as i probably should.
