No way is Commons only worth £500k. At least 1.5m easy, and the only reason it's that low is because of his age. Also think £6m is too high for Bitton and too low for Brown, but I think £12m for the two of them is reasonable.

 

The value of the individuals in the Celtic squad isn't really of any importance .
I think with the age make-up of our current squad and the type and ability that Deila bought in in January , I think we are going to develop a team , without individual stars but with the value of the total far exceeding the sum of the value of individual stars . We will have a number of players who will be able to come into the team without visibly weakening it. We won't have the Victors the Hoopers or Forster's who think they are too good for us .

I think I read in one of the reports something like the club values players based on their wage and how much they have left on their contract, or something along those lines.

The oldco. rangers used to value players more in the way we are doing on here. They would say a player like Jelavic was worth like £8m and stick it on their balance sheets, which is a bad idea for obvious reasons.

I would hope our board is less reckless than that.

 

Efe has a £50m release clause I've heard and the club value him at that.

 

Johansen is never worth £11m in Scottish rates. He's good but not that level yet.

But the interesting thing about the value of our team is that it highlights just how much money the huns would have to spend to get anywhere near us should they get in the SPL next year.

They would have to spend at least £40m+ to compete with us, it would take them years to generate that sort of revenue whilst at the same time, we would be raking in much more money ourselves and building an even bigger and better team.

As it stands currently let's be realistic, most of this team haven't done much at CL level or impressed which in the end is what they're judged on by the over-hyped arrogant English market.

Hardly a pile of pish when it's managed to value our overall squad around the same as the general consensus on this forum.

 

Way off. Transfermarkt always undervalue or players or make completely wrong valuations for us.

 

On the whole it's good for valuations in the 'main' or 'major' leagues but I'd agree that it seems to always undervalue our BEST/BETTER players.

There's no way in * Wakaso is worth £4.4m if that's all they value van Dijk at for example.

 

Charlie Mulgrew is valued at £2.6M and Commons at £3M on that site.
