You don't know what you are raving about. The booing was aimed at the referee.

Not good tonight but sometimes you have to hand credit to the opponents, it was only Gordon that saved us from a last minute equaliser the other week in Perth and again tonight they played well and looked a very decent team and a goal of the top quality.

Hopefully this is no more than a blip and a reminder we have won nothing as of yet this season and can't take anything for granted

Would a straight red for Swanson on the 22nd min mark been harsh?

Celtic were on the break when he brings down Griffiths from behind and gets none of the ball..i thought tackles from behind were an automatic redcard ?

The fact that he also got none of the ball means it was malicious meaning it should have been a straight red?

Last night might turn out to be a blessing in disguise. If anything, I think it will guard against complacency in the upcoming fixtures. Last night we looked very lethargic in my opinion, and it looked at times as though we just thought we had to turn up and win. The first 15-20mins I actually thought we looked quite good, and probably should have been in front, but after that, it was all a bit flat and one paced. One thing that we all learned last night I feel though, is how important Nir Bitton is to the system we play. He was a huge miss. Got to take your hat off to St. Johnstone, they made themselves very hard to break down, and were very organsied, as they always are when we play them, and won the game with an absolute screamer.

re the above post from MURPHY88, i agree a well reasoned posting along with a lot of the others. Celtic do not have a devine right to win every match in the league, a good wake up call and well done St, J

I don't get all this stuff about having a striker on the bench when we need a striker, and then bringing on two players who don't score goals.

You've got Denayer on the bench, Scepovic, Henderson. All good players. Tonev won't ever get a chance now and Scepovic must be really * off.

Scepovic is a poacher inside the box, not a guy to say hey, you need to learn how to run around the pitch more. No, he's a guy you just want in and around the penalty area.

Chances were their first half, didn't take them. Now when Ronny drops someone if they have a couple of bad games, what happens when others come in and also under perform?

Ronny has had a lot of plaudits, but for me he over thinks it and the focus on who should be on the sub bench and how to change the game last night was just really over complicating things rather than saying, right we'll go to a back three and fire on another striker.

We brought on Bitton for Stokes, put Johansen back in his best position, and we put Armstrong left wing. That isn't over thinking things at all, it was simply a case of reverting back to something that has been working perfect for us.

It's the fact he had already done someone which was a yellow before that which * me off, can't remember if it was Johansen or Armstrong but Broony got right in his face and done him later on.

St Johnstone are a physical side.

Its safe to say they are our bogey team and their manager has our number.

This is not intended as a Ronnie bashing however I hope he learns the lesson that most of us know already that Johansen is far more effective further forward than in beside Brown. My biggest issue with last night (you see a lot of managers doing it) is why because Bitton is out make so many changes to the normal starting team. Johansen played deeper, Armstrong moved inside and Stokes brought in on the left. For me continuity is everything and therefore Bitton out a direct replacement in - Henderson. Resulting in one change and not 4. My point is one change only so don't all get on your high horse saying Henderson is not a DM.

Sort of how I felt about last night as well. I wouldn't have minded the same starting line up, with Armstrong and Johansen swapping positions.

Obvously we won't win every game we play, between the Aberdeen games and the Utd Cup games i'd take a loss on this game, now we can get back to winning.

Aye that's 3 times we've played them and struggled each time. I know we won the first game 3-0 but we were poor and got extremely lucky with 2 goals.

I thought a yellow card was fair. He wasn't last man and was in his own half.
