I fail to understand how a linesman 30 yards from play can see without any shadow of doubt that VVD has reacted violently..

It is impossible that he could see through VVD and Butcher to see an alleged kick out from VVD from his position..

If Virgil's red card stands and Paton's is rescinded, with Butcher having no case to answer, we need to take serious action against the SFA. Refuse any future TV deal - * the rest of Scottish football. Time we took a stand.

Wow! I've just seen Butcher's antics from a different angle for the first time (on SSN from a camera at the utd end). He swings his arms at Van Dijk THREE times!!! Not to mention the attempted kick in the balls whilst on the deck. Like I say, first time I've seen it from this angle, knew it was bad but looks worse this time, malicious as *!!! And def worthy of action against him!!!

Aye he won his appeal though Jackie said he had no faith in the system, I wonder if he'll be back on telly this week repeating that ?

What is Pedro doing when this is all being decided? Surely you'd think we'd have a right say when injustices fall our way in high profile games. Clear cut stamps and dives, Stewart and Neil 'No mister lawwell, none are conclusive enough'

Pedro ' Nae bother, just gee big virg a ban'..

He'll be praising the system if Virgil gets banned and Butcher doesn't.

I'm not gonna slate Jackie but I have been surprised at how bitter he's come across lately..

Back to the sfa and panel deciding the verdict's, I have no faith whatsoever in them getting the big decisions right and am totally disgusted with them..

Something I think Lawell would like to do, we would make more money getting our own tv deal yet we let the other 11 teams take some of our cut to help them out.

I think it's just him being fully committed to United and being a bit biased and bitter sometimes which is fair enough.
Hope Ronny will call out the SFA and Celtic depending on what happens, the SFA have backed themselves into a corner and only way to get out is to rescind Virgils red.

CELTIC Football Club notes that no action appears to have been taken in relation to Calum Butcher of Dundee United.
It seems completely illogical and fundamentally unfair that, in an incident where mistaken identity has been claimed, the Dundee United player now identified clearly as being involved in the incident appears to have no case to answer - and would be available to play in the League Cup final and the Scottish Cup replay between the two teams - while Celtic’s player may potentially miss both of those matches.
Celtic Football Club and Virgil van Dijk maintain their position that no red card offence was committed by Virgil.
Virgil will appear at Hampden to put his case on Thursday and we will fully support him in this appeal.

If you look at it, if they ban Cifti & Connolly, then that's their goal effectively null & void. If the ref made the 'right' decisions (according the the SFA) then technically, that goal should never have happened. It shouldn't have been a penalty and the guy that scored the penalty shouldn't have been on the pitch anyway.

I know you can't do that, but its just a point.

    I hope common sense prevails.

What's wrong with me calling you Maguire . Insisting on Maguire 1 indicates to me that you feel superior to all other Maguire's.

That's what it's like on here though

VVD studs on shin then deliberate stamp/shove of his foot onto Butchers inner thigh, if he get's that rescinded then there is something going on, Butcher did wrong with his little kick/knee back to VVD but can hardly blame him, he was not the instigator and neither was Ciftci (who deserves the ban) after Brown's reckless challenge where he did not win the ball and could have hurt his opponent

    I'm not picky.
Neil Lennon - calls a player a "* *" and gets an immediate 3-match ban.

Nadir Ciftci - deliberately kicks an opposition player in the head and is OFFERED a 2-match ban.

Calum Butcher - the correct player who lashes out & kicks van Dijk but doesn't have to answer to anything at all.

I will not be surprised in the slightest if Paton's red card is rescinded as well.

Honestly couldn't make this * up.

Just because you say it's deliberate doesn't make it so. He was clearly trying to stand up. We have a better case for getting a not proven verdict then you did with Ciftci
