3 Dart Average?

Just played about 50 legs of Darts whilst recording my average on a Darts app.

My average was around 50.

Anyone know what average is acceptable in a pub league etc?

& What is your average?

 

I think thats a decent average including doubles mate

 

Getting one or two darts onto the board would do me

 

I'm * at darts and my average would prob be about 20.

I'd say 50 is quite good.

 

It took you 50 darts per leg......don't give up your day job.

 

I've been entered into a charity darts match at my work. I'm utter * at darts.

50 is his 3 dart average (I think). So about 30 darts a leg. Never played in a pub team but I'd say it's similar standard.

played darts in my hey day was no bad at it , won a few trophies no idea about average throw tho.

 

Just recently put the board on the wall after the Worlds.

Used to just have it just leaning against the wall as I hardly played it, been practicing a lot recently though, started off about 35 avg, just practicing a couple days a week since the Worlds and it's went up quite a bit, 47.5 avg was my best up until today when I got 50 avg.

 

My darts assoc runs 7 leagues d,c,c+,b,b+, a, a gold contested by teams from different bars. D is the lowest. A fifty average is about what most guys in c+ throw. This is also an American league and we are obviously * in comparison to you all. Too much cricket not enough 01.

I personally throw avg of 45 on poor nights to 60 odd something on good ones.

 

Do you play better with a bevvy?

 

Averages is a useless stat, win % is what counts.
Getting on a finish throws the average stats out the window.

Also I always consider 301 double start to be the best test of a player.
501 straight start is a cop out for poor players and for television viewers.

 

Great Topic! When i used to play alot my average was 75,nowadays around 55,i remember back i the day i averaged 85 winning 15-13 in a long match in a mates Garage,i checked out on 156 and 158,long gone days!
I have always needed a few drinks to play good darts,but nowadays it does not help,funny enough i quit the team last night,i was drunk and behaved like an *!

 

How can you check out on 158 or 156? Have they added more numbers since I stopped playing?
