    1) We gave the tie away in the first leg.

    2) Ref was abysmal. What wiggle room there was on the two yellows, where they were on the pitch, how early in the game, the fact that I'm pretty sure they were VVDs first two fouls... there was the same wiggle room on the Armstrong's penalty claim. He broke in Inter's favor all three times.

Was working just caught the highlights anyone know what commons said at the end?

The fact the ref booked Gordon for time wastin when we where the ones chasing a goal just sums the * up tbh

I've never understood the, "it's my first foul ref" argument, you could break a guys leg with your first tackle but you shouldn't get a card because it's your first foul. Huh?

He didn't break anyone's leg though did he? In fact his first tackle was a completely fair tackle which won the ball without even hurting anyone, wouldn't you agree?

I'm noticing a pattern with a lot of your comments where you come in and make some kind of claim that one of our players were in the wrong then you * off and don't reply when people question what you say. So let's see if we can get a reply here. Do you think his first yellow card was a foul? If so, do you think it was a booking and why?

Well considering the fact that you get carded for persistent following, irrespective of the severity of the foul when the card is issued, suggests that a pattern of fouling, or lack thereof, is one of the factors a referee considers.

You can't say referees don't let players go for a first foul of the game, or something early, that they wouldn't otherwise. Happens all the time.

How that flushes with the letter of the law is another question, but in practice it's pretty standard.

I think you're right. The Italians are the slimiest, widest * in Europe; they dive, the kick-your heels, they nip, they barge, they intimidate, they do anything to win. They are shameless, like Mourinho on crack. You need a strong referee against them and that ref wasn't. He totally ruined the game.

Tell you what, we've come far. We were an absolute embarrassment in July when Legia Warsaw slaughtered us. Look at us now. We did ourselves proud tonight.

Dev was right, I was wrong. We went in to the San Siro, played 4-3-3 and took Inter on toe to toe. I thought that was madness but it wasn't. I either over estimated Inter or under estimated us. Not sure which. But I was * proud of us tonight. We did everything we could.

We ARE winning the treble this year. I'm convinced.

This forum is either one way or the other :smiley-laughing002: I pray this doesn't collapse about our * holes and we end up with just the league, this place will be unbearable.

To a certain extent yeah. I'm just not wanting to get all carried away with it, its just typical of the patterns that emerge on this forum. A couple of bad results now and we'll be back to defending Ronny's position and arguing for why he shouldn't be sacked. Its nearly always one extreme or the other.

Yeah I know where you're coming from.

I like to think that my opinions aren't dictated by results. I prefer to base my opinions on performances. And I really think we did ourselves proud tonight. Especially considering we had 10 men. If we lose to Aberdeen on Sunday I can promise you I won't be one of the guys on here saying it's doomsday. I was really encouraged by what I saw tonight.

Absolutely. Inter with a man to the good were still scrambling for the ball at times, the way we protected it in midfield was nothing like I've previous seen from us before. Bitton being the prime example, he's come a long way since the lad sent off against Ajax last season. He's reached a level of composure that's only been made possible by playing every week and subsequently putting in great performances.

Been saying it for a while that we need quality out wide and we now have that with the new bhoys. Clearly Ronny's system has been curated for matches like last night, it's hopefully gonna become a permanent feature of our game because we have the depth of players to attack any team. I feel like the players have upped their game since the turn of the year and now know what's expected.
    Here's to winning the treble:60:

I honestly don't think either challenge is a free-kick. The referee thought the second was a push with his arm.

But really i think both players were going in for a shoulder challenge, but it's completely up for debate really.

Anyway that's my opinion of it. Both players aren't trying to get the ball.

So play should just go on. There are two different camera angles, one that makes it look like a trip, which it wasn't and another which makes it look like both players went in for a shoulder challenge.

Van Dijk puts the shoulder in and when Icardi goes to do the same he misses and this is why i think he kind of pirouettes and goes down rolls over and sits there like he's claiming for a penalty.

I always stated that Delia would be judged from the January transfer window and beyond, once he had part of the team building and getting players in.

He has been fantastic since the 1st Feb,he has brought us all together on and off the field,he really looks like a manager with serious purpose here.

Last night was one of the proudest moments of supporting the hoops, butchered by a mob ref, dealing with typical play acting and diving tallys on their own turf, down to 10 men for about 70 mins......and we still looked the better team, undone by a stunning goal, which I thought would come if we went for it in the last 10 mins anyways.

We get 2 good defenders in and a proper no.9 we will be a great team for next year IMO,no fear anymore....we play attacking football and high up the pitch, you could actually see mancini * it last night and trying to get his team up the park.

We are building something big here, and ronny IS the right guy for that.

Proud as *....well in cetlic..now onwards and upwards

This flare pish does my head in, celtic fans are as bad as the media making a big deal out it, they had flares and smoke bombs from the start to the end, but for some reason the big story is, we had one

There is an easy way around * reporters bringing up flares at every opportunity and that's to stop using them
    Don't give them an excuse

Anyone that turns on Deila if we lose on Sunday is an idiot. Playing Inter in the San Siro and with 10 men for nearly an hour followed by a flight home will definitely take something out of us. Aberdeen are a decent team, easily the second best in the country, so you have to imagine this will be a tough game when you put the two factors together.
