    The referee was terrible , I think Virgil's challenge for the first card was stupid , he didn't need to make it as player wasn't going to do anything dangerous . Virgil should have known the Italians were cheats and would manufacture cards out of very little . The 2nd yellow, also soft but player was past him and Virgil attempted to pull and drag him , didn't do much but we know about the Italians and homer refs . I thought Armstrong should have had a pen. Guidetti should had a pen. Or a yellow card . The goal scorer should definitely have been sent off before he scored . Fair play to Gordon , he sold us down the drain last week but he was very good this week . I think Deila had a difficult choice in deciding who to take off . I think if he had taken Gudetti off , he would be getting pelters , the Italians targeted our left last week and Armstrong was brilliant helping Izzy out , which is part of his role.in the team.

    Only seen the game up until Virgil's sending off. Thought it was harsh, especially the 1st yellow. Stick on penalty with Armstrong early on.

    How did the rest of the game go????

    Fair enough. I get that to a certain extent. Could've gone about it in a better way though.

    Admitting that the ref had a stinker, favoured home decisions, handed out a very dubious red to one of our best players then saying it paints us in a bad light that we moan about it?

    * do one.

    Overall two decent performances. We are still a bit short but its great to go out fighting rather than with a whimper. Finally very optimistic about the future of this team and cant wait to see how we will do in the champions league next year. With a few decent players brought in in the summer we may have exciting days ahead. I havent enjoyed watching Celtic so much since Tommy Burns team. I love Ronnys philosophy and even though we may get a hammering some time from a top european team i love the have a go attitude. Not overly concerned about being knocked out tonight. Its a work in progress.

    You can't be factual when you're venting, mate. :smiley-laughing002:

    "Gosh, that was a poor ref who made some pretty poor decisions that may or may not have affected the game, meanwhile fair play to Inter, who are an excellent club with working-class roots the same as us and have some very dangerous attackers and, oh, the culture of gamesmanship in Italian football is somewhat worse than it is here in Scotland, which is a bit miffing; but obviously there's lots to admire in Italian culture, such as the food, etc..."

    It's closer to the truth but just doesn't really work.

    Honestly, mate, it would paint us in a pretty poor light if this is what we really thought; but it's not really fair to judge people by what they say when they are upset and saying things to vent emotions. As I say, you'd be stunned at some of the things said about our own after a domestic loss on here.

    Edit: whoops, got you mixed up with the Italian chappy. Edited out the last part.

    Well we're obviously going to be talking about the game changing moments on here. It's not like the red card was a minor point that we can just ignore and say 'oh well the better team won'. It changed the game and it's obviously going to be a major talking point.

    I replied to one guy and he seems to think that the first foul was 'a typical defenders yellow card' but i'd like it if the other Inter fans could give their opinions. What is your thoughts on VVD's two bookings and the elbow on Johansen? Bearing in mind that Johansen and your man had a confrontation a couple of minutes before then what looked like a deliberate elbow to the face.

    I don't think there's some conspiracy where they're deliberately out to get us, I just think the refs are repeatedly fooled by other teams against us and we're just not playing the refs just as well as the other teams are. Whish is a pretty sad thought.

    FWIW, Bauscia, nobody sensible thinks there is a conspiracy against us, so we don't overestimate our own importance. There is, however, a pretty obvious tendency for referees to favour teams that come from countries (such as Italy) with big TV markets.

    Just saying.

    I said that, according to the meter the referee used all the way long, the elbow espisode could have been punished with a red card. I'm sorry for my english, saying that it was a typical yellow card i meant to say that usually, in Europe, these kind of fouls are punished with a yellow card. I also think that the major problem for you is that you have, in Uk, a different judging meter for fouls and playing in Europe doesn't help you.

    I don't know if I was able to explain myself, hope so.:icon_mrgreen:
