Inter continued to bring their time-wasting antics at the very end. Aresholes. I used to like Inter growing up but I've got little respect for their current team when there's such an absence of sportsmanship.

Cagliari were all over the place defensively. The way Inter finished was excellent but it was against an ineffective defence. Hernanes' shot at the end was class but at the same time, he should never had been given so much space on the ball.

Hopefully they'll be knackered going into our game. I think the commentator said there were 5 changes in their squad tonight from the game against us so I don't know how that will affect their team this Thursday night.

At least we've got an extra days rest over them though. It's all or nothing. Come on Celtic!

How clinical are the big Italian teams ? Every time I watch Juve, AC, Inter etc they scored nearly every chance they get. They 3 had about 9 shots between them at CP in the past few years and scored 9 goals.

They are terrible at the back when under pressure, usually from there own doing as well.

Last Thursday was no fluke, they really are that * back there and that was with the more reliable vidic with rannochia replaced, vidic did his best to be bullied all night and tried to assist Cagliari in the first with a perfectly cushioned knee to there forward. He is very noticeably slower and even more rash than usual..

Inter coulda been out of sight if podolski remembered how to finish, instead though it was two poor defences battling it out and inter went ahead in the second, I'm not sure how they won as they were under massive pressure and Cagliari could have scored at least another 2 goals.
Icardi is a top striker, keep him quiet and make no defensive mistakes as well as letting shaqiri run riot and I'm certain we can take advantage of there frailties if we keep up our high tempo, pressuring..

Not getting ahead of myself, despite how I sound but having watched them again, I believe in us..

*, so they have. That's got to be our worst record against a nation's club teams. I wonder how well we stack up against all the countries we've played against.

Who would we be most victorious against I imagine? English opposition perhaps? Although, it'll probably be Swedish or something considering how many times we play them in qualifiers.

The record we have against English teams is outstanding considering budgets, size of country etc.

I just watched the highlights of the Leeds game at Hamden in '70 the other night for what must easily be the 50th time, gives me goosebumps every time.

Come on to * mate.. if we're winning 1-0, 2-1 etc at the San Siro i'll be begging them to time waste :smiley-laughing002: It's so frustrating when it happens against us, but sometimes it's necessary.

Yeah the Green Brigade have been around since '06 and have been brilliant in adding atmosphere to what was a library at times. I cannot stand English football. Everything about it is fake.. pricing working class fans out of football. It wont be long till they're sitting in stadiums with big foam fingers etc. Over rated *. I totally agree with you. Also, I've never been to a German game but they always look like great atmospheres, and their away support is always top notch (from games i've seen anyway, it could just be the big teams).

I find it hard to disagree that Inter is a better team, but what can you expect when you look at resources? We've always punched above our weight in Europe and i reckon we can turn you over in Milan. You should be prepared for a green and white invasion of Milan :icon_mrgreen::shamrock:

In all serious though. You guys are going through a bit of a transitional period just now, and Mancini hasn't had too much time to put his stamp on the team. I reckon this could be the perfect time to play Inter.

Maybe we should take a page out of your book, get the lead then protect by time wasting and rolling around the floor like we've been shot every time someone comes within two feet. :smiley-laughing002:

There's no question you have better attacking players than us, any celtic fan that thinks otherwise would be delusional, but you're not as good as you seem to think you are. Otherwise you wouldn't be in the europa league getting 3 goals put into you by Celtic, would you?

Only two places up for consideration for me are the wide right and the striker. Commons or Mackay-Steven and Griffiths or Guidetti.

We can beat them if we sort it out defensively but they are of course favourites.

    2-1 us, Johansen and Armstrong

You're right. It is the perfect time for you.
We come from two seasons in which we played a counter-attacking 3-5-2, which was actually a 5-3-1-1. Under Mancini we're trying to keep the ball and play an offensive football and because of this we often have defensive problems. Moreover, we're a young team and we suffer under pressure:Santon 91, Juan Jesus 1991, Ranocchia 1988,Dodo 1992, Kovacic 1994, Brozovic 1992, Shaqiri 1992, Icardi 1993, Puscas 1996. Only Palacio is over 30.Campagnaro, Vidic and Carrizo are benchers.

I'm not here to tell you how good we are, I'm just saying that we're not as bad as you say.

And for the invasion...yes I'm ready! Hope there will be no problems but please..do not get drunk at 10am :icon_mrgreen:
