Wish he'd either come oot n say he's staying or * off and lets get someone in who is focused on the world cup campaign. If Eck has doubts about doing the job then cheerio.

Watching his interview yesterday, he did everything but come right out and say it. He said he'd be interested in working at a club again and would be listening to anything that comes his way. If he was going to stay, he'd have said so.

If he goes ill be gutted.

Not that I think hes a world class manager, but the players will be gutted and it'll be like starting over again. I don't think we'll have the same attitude, and who knows what mug we will get in place.

To be fair, had the same feeling when Smith left.

For the time being we are a stepping stone for out of work managers back into club football, we got to accept that.

However, if we continue to play as we are for a couple more years, the pedigree of manager we can attract will be one of quite a pedigree Imo.

Dead right,at no stage since the final whistle on Saturday has McLeish said "Im staying"I think its slightly disappointing that the Scotland post these days does'nt carry the same prestige as it used to.
And if Graeme Souness gets the job,im applying for Croatian citizenship:icon_mrgreen:

I think he'll stay. maybe not last till World Cup, but he'll not go to Birmingham. Though I'm doubting myself.

Eck is a very decent manager. Too good for Brummy FC. He shouldnt leave for anything less than a mid table EPL club.

He can only leave for what is available, and there won't be too much from mid to top table available for him. He is left in a situation where he may have to take whatever EPL job is vacant, and hope that he does a good job to keep the club there or that another then notices him and makes a move.

That was my impression of the interview as well. It sure doesn't look like he will be staying. Birmingham have asked the SFA for permission to speak to him according to the news tonight here.
